What can I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat. Please no jeans.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Spring in Michigan can be unpredictable. The ceremony will be held outside, weather permitting, but we are prepared to move the ceremony inside if necessary. Please dress in layers if you get chilly easily, just in case. (But let's all hope for a beautiful spring afternoon) .
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Bavarian Inn Lodge located at 1 Covered Bridge ln, Frankenmuth, MI, 48734.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be taking place in an outdoor garden; we recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. The reception will be held indoors.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests are invited to head straight to the area outside the composer room, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.
Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?
Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.
What time should I arrive?
Thank you for helping us stay on schedule! Please arrive by 3:30pm. The Ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm. Anyone who shows up after that time is welcome to head to the cocktail hour for refreshments.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Guests are welcome to park anywhere on the Lodges property, no parking fee is required. Guests may also be dropped off at the main entrance which is close to our ceremony location.
Are kids welcome?
While we love the little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list due to venue size. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Yes! Please look under the “travel” tab on our website for more information. Book early to secure a room.
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before April 18th. You can mail back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Both the ceremony and reception are wheelchair accessible. There is a cement patio in the Summer Garden and elevators available to access the reception hall.
Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?
After the ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with the drink of your choice.
Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?
A buffet with multiple meat, vegetables and accompaniment options will be served (including the famous Frankenmuth chicken).
Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?
We are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions, please indicate them on your RSVP.
Where are you registered?
We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our future home. A link to our wedding registry can be found under the “registry” tab.
Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
