Emily and Chris met 7 years ago in an - at the time - unconventional way: through an online dating app. The bio on Chris's profile was simple: pineapple does not belong on pizza. Seeing a challenge present itself, Emily messaged Chris, stating that pineapple absolutely belongs on pizza, mocking his childish take. This nearly prompted Chris to unmatch Emily. However, he found himself unable to follow through with the unmatching process as there was something about Emily that seemed different than all the other women on the app. Perhaps it was her willingness to challenge the core beliefs of a total stranger, or maybe it was her beautiful smile. Either way, the two (eventually) were able to plan a date together.
The first date started off as rocky as it gets. After agreeing to meet for dinner at Moxies', Chris was dismayed to find out that there was a burst pipe in the restaurant and the date had to be cancelled. When Chris messaged Emily, she didn't believe him and thought he was trying to bail. Luckily for Chris, the dating app had shared his location, and Emily could see that he was really at the restaurant. Emily had suggested meeting at another restaurant, but Chris was adamant about eating at Moxies'. Thus, they rescheduled for the following week.
In the years that followed, Chris and Emily have had plenty of adventures. They love going to the cottage, hanging out with friends, and adding to the growing repertoire of sports they play together. They have grown to love each other's families and have enjoyed living together for the past few years. While their wedding will not be - as per Chris's request - catered by Moxies', they can't wait to celebrate their love with friends and family.
