As Emily's younger sister, Sophie brooked no argument when claiming her role as the Maid of Honour. Together, Emily and Sophie have shared endless adventures; from being chased by a Moose through a Canadian forest to singing Mamma Mia on a Greek catamaran. Chris met Sophie at the tender age of 17, when she returned from a month abroad in France. Chris and Sophie have enjoyed many adventures together, but their favourite things include ganging up on Emily and relentlessly fighting each other in every board game they play together. Being the queen of hyperfixation and the Wikipedia deep-dive, Chris and Emily know that she will support them along every step of their wedding journey.

Chris met Jamie 24 years ago, where - despite being born mere moments before - he gifted Chris and Andrew with brand new Bionicles. Chris considered this an extremely cool move. Since then, the two brothers have been very close. From playing mini sticks in the basement to playing hockey on the same team, Chris appreciates that Jamie is always up for a good time. Emily met Jamie when he was 16; the same year he dressed up as an Amazon box for Halloween. She appreciates his intelligence and athleticism, as well as his inability to hide his competitive spirit.

Chris has known Andrew for his entire life. They enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and playing hockey and other sports together. Andrew is always good for movie and book recommendations. Chris loves Andrew's ability to share his passions and always make him laugh and feel appreciated At the University of Toronto, Emily successfully avoided Andrew despite both of them living at St. Michael's College. She then went on to spend two years living with Chris and Andrew in Kleinburg, where Andrew finally introduced Emily to Alex. She has learned that Andrew is a gifted athlete, adventurous cook, and goofy goose.

Meeting on the first day of high school, Emily and Fiona quickly became best friends. They went on to attend the University of Toronto, where they lived alongside Fiona's husband, Sean, for four years. Emily was the "Matchmaker" at Fiona and Sean's recent wedding, and can't wait to have Fiona beside her in August 2026 (where she is happy to have stolen Fiona away from her "Best Man" duties). Chris met Fiona shortly after he started dating Emily. She was one of the first people Emily was eager to introduce to Chris. This makes sense as Fiona is one of the nicest people on the planet and is sometimes referred to as the "den mother" of the friend group. Early on in their friendship, Fiona told Chris she would be his best man; however, Andrew and Jamie objected (lawyer joke) to this.

Since their early days in the vocal music program at AMHS, Emily has known Sean to be passionate, creative, and ready for a spirited debate. Alongside Fiona, they lived together for many years at 100 Hayden Street, where Emily learned how many Oreo cookies Sean is able to eat in one sitting (and where best to hide them). Chris has known Sean for around seven years now and in that time has found Sean to be a thoughtful, kind, and intelligent person (not to mention a great mixologist). He is always down for a fun time and has an uncanny ability to rally even after the craziest of nights; one that will serve him well in Mexico!

As cousins, Chris has known Elizabeth since she was but a baby. Growing up, he spent many sleepovers at the Hore's, playing Halo and capture the flag. Elizabeth is not afraid to speak her mind and is often good for a conversation about immunology. Emily got to know Elizabeth over Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at the Robers and the Hores. The two of them lived together for 16 months in Kingston, where Emily adopted Elizabeth's passion for the X-Files, but maintained her own penchant for the excessive use of garlic.

Emily met Nick at Chuck's Roadhouse in 2018, where he quickly schooled her on the inner workings of Virgil's Aeneid. She appreciates his prolific love of literature, music, and his wife, Naeilly. Chris has known Nicholas for 30 years! The two were inseparable growing up, and although they don't see each other as often as they'd like, they are always able to pick up where they left off when they do. Nicholas has a deep love for literature and is always good for a book recomendation.

Emily has known Hunter since high school, where the two of them bonded over their competitive spirit and deep love for their friends. She values his tenacity, intellect, and ability to serve as the best Taskmaster's Assistant to date (take that, Sophie). Chris has known Hunter for around 7 years and appreciates his natural charisma, athleticism, and insightful takes. Hunter is the best DM/Fantasy Hockey Commissioner/Fishing aficionado around!

Emily and Chris met Maddie in the early days of their relationship, when she moved with Hunter from Vancouver to the GTA. She quickly endeared herself to them with her cutting wit, creativity, and adventurous spirit. Maddie is a leader not only as the captain of their volleyball team (Go Volleyamorous!), but also as an everyday organizer. She is the first to recommend - and then flawlessly execute - a group costume. Emily shed real tears when Maddie's character, Liriell, died in their D&D campaign; a testament to the connection that has formed between them all in the many years since Maddie moved to Ontario.

Introduced to Emily and Chris as Erin's partner, Andrew quickly became a steadfast and valued friend. Upon first meeting the friend group, Andrew sat through not only a Secret Santa exchange in which he had no part, but also eight madcap year-in-review slideshows for people he had never met. It wasn't long, however, until Andrew was sharing in group mannerisms, coming on group camping trips, and doing "the Martin" alongside everyone else. As an avid sportsman, Ph.D. candidate, and drummer extraordinaire, he has become a beloved member of the friend group.

As a teenager, Emily got to know Erin as Fiona's older sister. While at first intimidated by Erin's deadpan humour and cool competence, Emily has had the pleasure of getting to know Erin better as the years followed. Now, both Emily and Chris value Erin's loyalty, sharp intellect, and expansive list of hobbies. Chris and Erin have been friends for some time now. As the oldest member of the group, Erin has set a great example for the rest to follow; her success in everything she does is truly impressive! Emily and Chris can't wait for the "marriage blanket" that Erin has made for each couple, and humbly request that theirs is green!

Emily has known Gareth (a.k.a. "G," a.k.a "Goreth") since the early days of high school. As members of the music program at AMHS, Emily and Gareth share many fond memories of rehearsals, performances, and music trips to Chicago, New York, and Disney World. Alongside Chris, the three of them enjoy camping, playing D&D (and all of Tarman's hijinks), and celebrating their friends. Chris met Gareth around seven years ago. The two have enjoyed weekends at the Williams' cottage, board game nights, and even a drive-in concert together.

Emily and Chris met Erica at a drive-in July Talk concert several months into the COVID-19 pandemic. They were immediately struck by her conscientiousness, drive, and compatibility with her now-husband Gareth. In her work with the NDP and several not-for-profit organizations, Erica demonstrates her commitment to changing society for the better; a trait that both Chris and Emily admire. Together, they have since enjoyed many camping trips, cottage visits, and friend get-togethers.

After haranguing Andrew for months about his new girlfriend, Emily and Chris finally got to meet Alex. They immediately enjoyed her outgoing personality and competitive spirit. Her frequent use of youth slang and reference to TikToks makes both Emily and Chris feel geriatric. Both Emily and Chris valued the time spent with Alex and Andrew in Kleinburg, and look forward to future game nights, pub trivia, and perhaps - one day- even an escape room.

Emily met Martin (alias: "Copera") when trying out for AMHS's vocal music program in 2011. She spent the next few years fending off Martin's groupies and getting to know him as the goofy, personable, and talented man that he is today. Chris and Martin have known each other for over seven years. Chris appreciates Martin's goofiness, good nature, and extreme competency. Not many people like Martin exist, and Chris and Emily are grateful he is their friend!
