Carrying a small brown monkey bag around everywhere full of large glow in the dark bugs.

How did you feel when you first met your future son in law?

He reminded me of Gary, in the way he could chat to anybody and make them smile.

What’s the most outrageous tantrum Emma ever threw and what was it about?

She ran off the stage at a dance rehearsal when she was 4 because of the sound of thunder and lighting. She refused to go back to any dance classes after that. Up to that point she hadn’t had any tantrums, she was always happy and enjoyed anything she encountered.

What’s the most questionable fashion choice Emma has ever made?

None, life is all about trying new things and finding out what you like and what other people like and oh boy has Emma had fun with fashion.

What's your favourite memory of Elliot growing up?

So many wonderful memories!

Early memories - Making a den out of the dining table using every sheet and blanket in the house and having lunchtime picnics sitting on cushions under the table.

More recent memory - Elliot single handily making me a surprise three course meal for my special birthday. He had designed and printed menus and place cards and it made me feel so special. The food was amazing too.

How did you feel when you first met your future daughter in law?

I thought she was stunning with amazing skin and fabulous hair. She was so personable and a beautiful smile. Liked her immediately.

Elliot’s sunny upbeat personality can always make anyone smile and feel good. We always used to say that if anyone could bottle the vibe that Elliot has they would be very rich!

What's the most outrageous tantrum Elliot ever threw and what was it about?

Elliot’s sports day at Beech Hall School. There was a swimming Gala and the school insisted on uniform swimming trunks. Elliot flatly refused to wear the very tiny Baywatch style red trunks!

We had a very traumatic couple of hours trying to convince him to wear them but he would not budge.

I have kept them all these years! They could come in useful one day as Superman fancy dress pants!

What's the most questionable fashion choice Elliot has ever made?

Nothing can beat the time Elliot and Lauren decided to dress up as each other. Elliot came downstairs wearing Lauren’s red Chinese dress split up both sides accessorised with every piece of costume jewellery and hair clips and earrings from Lauren’s dressing table! It was a sight!! Photographic evidence can be provided for anyone who feels they will not be traumatised for life!! 😂

What is your favourite memory of Elliot growing up?

Best memories spending proper time on ‘Dad n Son’ adventures.

Stand out was 2007 trip to France, exploring Normandy D-day highlights followed by 24 hour motor racing at Le Mans. Epic & memorable trip!

Also, anytime Elliot has made me feel proud …. there have been so many of these occasions! 😊

When a label was left in one of his T shirts age 4 (ish). He always found them scratchy & had to have them cut out but on this occasion you’d have thought it was a bunch of razor blades!! 😱

What’s the most questionable fashion choice Elliot has ever made?

Faux sheepskin gilet! WTF! 😳

What's your favourite memory of Emma growing up?

Emma 3 years old running around the house in Buntingford followed by the Gruffalow (me) playing hide and seek with squeals of laughter before bath time.

How did you feel when you first met your future son in law?

Great hugger, could be taller !!! Also can talk the hind leg off a donkey 😂

What's the most outrageous tantrum Emma ever threw and what was it about?

This would be difficult, but if I had to choose it would be your reaction to the Lion King video tape getting trapped in the machine and it going off. We had to get a new tape!

What's the most questionable fashion choice Emma has ever made?

Getting a tattoo of a cuttlefish in a very surprising location. Plus body piercings on your knicker line!
