The story begins in high school! Though Emma and Charlie knew each other through out their time at Hinsdale Central, Emma made the first move in sending a text to Charlie asking to be his date at prom. Charlie, not having her phone number, responded with "Who is this?".

Rekindled love! While Charlie left for basic training and fell off the grid for awhile, Emma was studying architecture at the University of Illinois. Charlie visited Emma at school, and he was reminded of her incredible looks and amazing personality. And he got a taste of real college along the way!

First trip together! Emma visits Charlie in Colorado for a ski trip. Pizza. French Fry. Wait, she flew over 800 miles and they're still not dating...

Barn Dance! Charlie returned the favor and flew back for Emma's barn Dance. Surprise to no one, Emma asked Charlie to be her boyfriend...only after Charlie lost all her ID cards and spilled water on her laptop. Hot start, Charlie!

Emma is Charlie's date to ring dance! Charlie receives his class ring right before a weekend in the mountains with Emma.

Emma studies abroad in Barcelona! And so begins the treacherous 3 and a half years of long distance.

Emma and Charlie Graduate!

Tampa! Emma follows Charlie to his first assignment in the warzone of Florida.

Charlie graduates pilot training and officially becomes an Air Force Pilot. Off to another place in Oklahoma to learn the C-17.

Emma graduates from NYU!

Charlie finds out he will be flying the C-17 in Charleston, SC! Emma accepts a job in Charleston shortly after. To the end of long distance!

Charlie proposes to Emma! On a wintry, -22 degree day in Chicago, Emma says yes to forever with Charlie!
