Camp Lochearn is located in the small Vermont village of Post Mills, Vermont – 30 minutes from Hanover, NH, home of Dartmouth College, and approximately 2 ½ hours from Boston, MA.

If you are coming from Boston or Boston Logan Airport, the Dartmouth Coach is a great bus to catch up to Hanover, NH. There is also Dartmouth Coach service from New York City (must make a reservation!). Please let us know well in advance if you will need a ride from Dartmouth and we can arrange for a camp counselor (ie, groomsman) to pick you up.
BOSTON - LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Boston Logan Airport is the largest airport in our region - they will have the most flight options.
It is easy to catch the Dartmouth Coach from Logan. Simply head to the "Scheduled Buses" stop outside of your terminal. If you do not pre-purchase a ticket online, you will be able to purchase a ticket at the South Station stop (after boarding at the airport).
If you decide to rent a car at Logan, it is about a 2.5 hour drive to Camp Lochearn. There are also toll roads along the way, so plan to have $5 cash with you!
BURLINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Plan to rent a car from BTV. The drive to Camp Lochearn is about 1.75 hrs. There are no tolls.
If you decide to fly in early and stay in Burlington for a night, it is a lovely little city on Lake Champlain with an active summer festival and concert scene.
MANCHESTER-BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT

Plan to rent a car from MHT (car rentals tend to be less expensive here). The drive to Camp Lochearn is just under 2 hours. There is a toll road, so make sure you have $1 in cash. Southwest Airlines flies into this airport.
LEBANON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
5 Airpark Road, West Lebanon, NH 03784, United States
Cape Air ( www.capeair.com ) runs jumper flights from Boston and New York City to Lebanon, NH. Car rentals from LEB tend to be less expensive. The drive to Camp Lochearn is about 35 minutes. There are no toll roads.
Driving Directions to Camp
Take 1-91 north from Hanover, NH. Take Exit 14 off 1-91. At the end of the exit ramp take a left onto Route 113 to Thetford and Post Mills.
When you come to Post Mills (about six miles from 1-91), you will see Baker's General Store on your right.
Take your first right after Baker's onto Rt. 244. Go approximately ¼ mile.
At the split in the road, bear right (a cemetery and small airport will be on your right). Go 1.3 miles and see Lochearn's sign at the entrance on your left
Camp Lochearn
Welcome to beautiful Camp Lochearn! This is where we will be staying Friday, August 26 through Sunday, August 28. The cost to stay in camp is $60 per person for the whole weekend.
Camp Lochearn is situated on lovely Lake Fairlee with a beach area, a dock, canoes and kayaks. There are also tennis courts, a soccer field, a camp fire circle and more!
Guests will be staying in 25 lovely historic cabins. They are delightful and closer to "glamping" than they are to "camping." Each cabin has power, 4-12 beds, and thick cot sized mattresses. The bright, clean cabins are all located right on the waterfront. Bathrooms are centrally located and include individual showers with private changing areas. We have way more than enough room, so we anticipate that family units and even some couples will have their own cabin, and others will be no more than half full...unless a bunch of friends want to pile in for fun! Plan to park your car on Friday and stay put for an unplugged weekend with family and friends!
Please bring a sleeping bag or sheets, a pillow, and a towel with you for the weekend. Flying to Vermont and can't carry linens? Linen rentals are available for an additional $15 per person. Please reserve these when making your cabin reservation.

We strongly encourage everyone to stay in camp. If you are considering staying off site, please first ponder that driving for 20 minutes after a killer party (duh) on rural roads with no cell service may not be spectacular. The two closest accommodations to camp are listed below. Small bed and breakfasts and a few short term rentals on the lake are also available.
Lake Morey Resort

A block of ten rooms has been reserved at a rate of $179/night plus tax. To reserve, call and mention the Hanson/Alvord wedding. Any remaining rooms will be released to the public at the standard rate on Monday, June 27th.
Silver Maple Lodge & Cottages
15 minutes and 6.6 miles from camp
Rates between $85 and $120 per night. Cottages are pet friendly.
