Macy is Emma's best friend of 7 years. They started out as college suite mates and after college moved to Shreveport, LA together, Macy for speech therapy school and Emma for work prior to applying for PA school. Macy is recently married to Anthony Smeester and is now a speech therapist in Kilgore, TX.

Meggie is Emma's favorite (and only) sister and lifelong best friend. She is married to groomsman Abel Diaz. Meggie is currently a pediatrician in Houston, TX, but will be moving to Fort Worth, TX, just prior to Emma and Michael's wedding.

Gracyn is one of Emma's "Shreveport best friends." She and Emma met through a prayer group just before Emma started PA school. They have been inseparable since. Gracyn is a pediatric PA at Wee Care Pediatrics in Shreveport, LA.

Emily is also one of Emma's "Shreveport best friends," though they met during their college years. She was roommates with Emma and matron of honor, Macy, while working on her master's degree at LSUS. She is now married to Evan Norris and working as a school psychologist intern in Pineville, LA.

Chloe is one of Emma's most cherished college best friends. They met via matron of honor, Macy, at Louisiana College and have stayed close ever since. Chloe is married to Dallan Berthelot and is mother to flower girl Sydney Kate Berthelot. She lives in Pineville, LA, and is in charge of all things media at Kingsville Baptist Church.

Andy has known Michael since childhood, and they have grown up at church playing basketball together (Michael has the upper hand). Andy currently lives in Dallas, Texas as a biomedical engineer.

Hongyu and Michael also grew up in church playing basketball together. They went to the same middle school through college as well. He currently lives in Houston, Texas and is a chemical engineer.

Jeff is Michael's older brother and unsurprisingly has known Michael his entire life. Jeff is a chemical engineer and currently lives in Houston, Texas. He is engaged to Mary Liu.

Lu Rui is a close friend of Michael and fellow Pelican fan. They grew up in church and basketball together, also going to the same middle school through college. Lu Rui is currently in school in Dallas, Texas.

Abel is Emma's current and Michael's soon-to-be brother-in-law. He is married to matron of honor, Meggie, and will soon be moving with her to Fort Worth, TX, just prior to the wedding. He has a background in engineering but is currently working in education.
