We recommend that guests wear cocktail attire. The venue has recommended no stiletto heels, as they may break on the outdoor porch.

It is recommended that you stay at the Newport Resort, which is across the street from the venue. Please call to RSVP and mention the Porter - Dow wedding for a discounted rate from July 18-July 21st (minimum of 3 night stay). The Newport Resort offers 1 and 2 bedroom condos and is a 2 minute (0.1 mile) walk to the wedding ceremony and reception. Rooms are available to reserve from July 19, 2023 until April 20, 2024. After this date, the rooms will be publicly available and are subject to rates based on availability. A 50% deposit is due at the time of reservation. For those searching for a one-night stay, Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay offers 1-night lodging, however, they do not offer hotel room blocks for weddings. Stone Harbor is about 25 minutes from the venue.

Because our wedding is out of town and many of our guests will be paying travel costs, there is no obligation to bring gifts. We provided a few gifts options on our registry for the family members and friends who have asked us for gift ideas.
