What will Eric and Sam be doing after the wedding on Monday?
Camping in Yosemite!
What Yosemite sights for Monday the 14th?
We have scoped out some incredible hikes, trees to worship, and awe inspiring views to take in.
If you want to hang around on Monday to see more of Yosemite. We figured a good thing for everyone to do may be to go to MARIPOSA GROVE OF GIANT SEQUOIAS
in Southern Yosemite -
largest sequoia grove in Yosemite and is home to over 500 mature giant sequoias.
Is at southern tip of park.
Reference 1.5 hour drive from Evergreen Lodge - 50 miles
https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/mg.htm
Must park at Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza and take shuttle or can hike 2 miles (both ways to the grove)
Hikes in the grove – Mariposa Grove Trail – see it all 7 miles (“strenuous”)
Shorter hike of 2 miles, and one of 6.5, the quickie .3
Want to see more Giant Sequoias in a less trafficked quieter grove?
Yes! Duh. Here's an easy hike that is very close to the Evergreen Lodge.
Northern Yosemite - Tuolumne Grove – on Old Big Oak Flat Road.
Reference: .5 hour from Evergreen Lodge 16 miles. Hike is
2.7 miles out and back
