Is there a dress code?

Nope, just wear whatever you feel your best in!! Our ceremony & reception will be primarily outdoors, so please plan accordingly for October weather. Since the farm venue is mostly grass, we would recommend leaving your nice heels at home and opting for boots!

Where do we park?

If you drive all the way up the gravel road and past the circular driveway, you can park in the riding ring behind the barn. As space will be somewhat limited, we would recommend that any larger groups carpool if possible.

WILL THE RECEPTION BE INDOORS?

Our venue is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and we want to enjoy the beautiful view as much as possible. Take in the stunning scenery including seasonal flower gardens, spring-fed pond, and rolling pasture for rescue horses Peaches, Wee, & Vegas. If you get chilly after the sun goes down, there will be cozy seating areas set up in the horse barn!

THIS EVENT SEEMS UNTRADITIONAL. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

Those who know us are aware that a formal, structured wedding is just not our vibe. It is important to us that the celebration of our marriage is inclusive, easygoing, and enjoyable for everyone! Our ceremony will feature a Handfasting Ritual, an ancient Celtic tradition in which the hands are tied together to symbolize the binding of two lives. The reception is our ideal opportunity to have one big party with everyone we love! That means trading seating charts, speeches, and first dances for vintage couches, intimate conversation, and live music sets!

ARE YOU ACCEPTING GIFTS?

Please know that your presence is gift enough to us. If you would like to make a gift, we have a few wedding funds to which you can contribute. In the spirit of sustainability, we respectfully ask that you not bring us any store-bought items. We have everything we need from living together over the past few years and do not have room for additional things at this time.
