Gary and Evan met in August 2018 at a work event in The Denver Tech Center. It was a mistaken sales happy hour e-vite that resulted in Evan attending and Gary spotting him from afar. Rush hour traffic was dying down and Evan was about to leave when Gary swooped in and insisted that he get another beer. Evan obliged and they both went to the beer line. Moments later, Gary was nowhere to be found. The next day they connected and briefly chatted on LinkedIn before exchanging numbers and going out for dinner the following week.

Fast forward to January 2021, they are standing On Top of the World at the STRAT in Las Vegas with glasses of champagne bubbling. Gary took Evan to the edge and with the backdrop of the city lights proposed with a fresh haircut and a tungsten ring.
