Things to Do

There are countless things to do in Denver from roaming the 16th Street Mall to checking out one of the many museums in town. Below are a few highlights that you should definitely check out if you have the time! A few of them are right in town, and a few we would recommend renting a car and driving (look into Turo for daily rentals).

Rocky Mountain National Park

Drive up to the city of Estes Park, the gateway to RMNP! If you've never experienced mountains before, this is a great way to see some breathtaking views. RMNP is about 1.5 hours from downtown Denver and about 40 mins from Boulder. Check the website for reservation requirements before planning to go up!

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

World famous iconic amphitheater and park. Take in the scenery of the amphitheater at any time during the day or take a hike around the park. Free entry to the park and amphitheater unless there is an event. 20 mins from downtown Denver.

Coors Brewery Tour

Meow Wolf can best be described as a fully immersive art experience. Immersive live music venue on site! Located minutes from downtown Denver at the corner of Colfax Avenue and I-25.

Coors Field, located in Lower Downtown Denver. Go to the game (look for GA Rockpile Rooftop tickets - usually about $18 which includes a drink credit) or enjoy the atmosphere surrounding the stadium at a sports bar or brand new public area McGregor Square area adjacent to the stadium.

Visit Denver Zoo in the middle of Denver's largest park, City Park. Advanced tickets are required. Book an Up Close Look for a more personal experience with your favorite animals! Check out the website for what experiences are available.

Sloan's Lake Bazaar

In Denver there are almost weekly street festivals and bazaars. This one is nearby downtown on Sloan's Lake. Shop 100s of local vendors, food trucks, and restaurants. Enjoy local performers and art. Reservations are FREE, you can purchase drink tickets and bottomless wristbands in advance or on site. About 10 mins from downtown Denver. Saturday 5/21.

Need to go Shopping?

Park Meadows Mall and shopping area is close by the Marriott DTC at I-25 and County Line Road.

Cherry Creek Mall and Cherry Creek North shopping district are also nearby.

The nearest big box retailers and grocery stores to the Marriott DTC are a couple miles north, along Hampden Ave, and Havana St in Aurora.
