We matched on Hinge one morning in September of 2019, the same day that Allison's future maid of honor Quinn set up her profile to help get Allison out of the house. Of course, Evan was ready to jump at the opportunity.

After a week or two of exchanging texts we finally met at one of Evan's favorite local watering holes, the Wandering Griffin in Beavercreek, OH. Before we knew it, the bartender was yelling 'last call' on the first date and the time flew by.

We were really enjoying the first few months together, hanging out with friends, meeting each other's families, etc. until Covid shut everything down in the spring of 2020.

With the shut down we had to get creative on the time spent with each other but we were able to power through. While challenging, it definitely brought us closer together.

Fast forward to spring of 2021. Life was slowly getting back to normal and Allison's job went fully remote. It was at this time we decided to pack up and leave the midwest to venture into our second chapter of our lives: Denver.

We moved out to Colorado with our dear friend Kylee in July 2021. Evan had to learn not only how to live with Allison but also Kylee, it was quite the experience.

We spent our days exploring the city, hiking, and taking advantage of all Colorado has to offer. After nearly 2 years, we made the decision to make our stay more permanent and became home owners in March of 2023. Most of our time now is spent fixing up the house which has been a 'fun' journey up to this point.

After the dust had settled from moving into the new house, Evan proposed to Allison on a hike. Allison was very surprised and didn't think Evan had it in him to devise such a plan. Little did she know that both of our families and some friends were waiting to surprise her back at the house. It was a fantastic weekend and one that we will never forget.
