Q + A

Can I bring a date/ guest?

As we have a strict guest list to stay within our venue's capacity, we can only accommodate the number of people listed on your specific invitation. Our website RSPV link will be used to check-in each individually named guest. Thank you for understanding!

can we bring our children?

While we love your children, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event (with only exceptions being our tiny VIP's in the bridal party and immediate family). We appreciate your understanding and we hope you can enjoy a fun and well-deserved date night/ vacation!

Is there a dress code?

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting Cocktail Attire (semi-formal) for our wedding. Think of it as your chance to rock that cute dress and those killer heels or sharp suits and shine alongside us on the dance floor. Get ready to strut your stuff in your fancy threads and snap some photos that'll make our grandkids jealous.

What happens if i don't rsvp in time?

If we do not get an RSVP back by July 19th 2024, it will be marked as a "Regretfully Decline". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to the venue and vendors in a timely manner. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late RSVP's. But fear not! We have made it very easy to RSVP in a variety of ways: online using our wedding website, mail-in RSVP, or letting the bride or groom know directly. We hope you understand!

when do i rsvp by?

Don't keep us in suspense! Please RSVP by July 19th 2024, to let us know if you'll be joining us in the festivities. We'll be eagerly awaiting your RSVP to ensure we can roll out the red carpet for your presence at our celebration.

what if i can't make it?

Your presence will surely be missed. Please RSVP "Regretfully Decline". If you have already committed and RSVP'd "Attending", but find that you can no longer make it, please notify the bride, groom, or Claudia Locano. Your swift communication will earn you our eternal gratitude and possibly a dance-off rematch at our next gathering!

how do we get there?

You can drive or schedule a ride share service like Uber or Lyft. For those that will be partaking in drinking shenanigans, we highly encourage utilizing a ride share service or carpooling with your favorite DD. *remember to remind them how amazing they are ;) Our venue is nearby plenty of hotel options and about 40 minutes away from South Bay San Diego (for locals).

what time is the wedding?

Set your alarms! The ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM. Cocktails, dinner, and dancing will follow. It's going to be an all-day affair filled with love, laughter, and maybe a few dance moves you'll regret in the morning.

what time should i arrive?

Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to park and find your perfect seat. *Yes, we're looking at you, Californians.* Also, the church is attached to a school that is in session...which means pick-up lines will form at 2pm and block the parking. Get there early to beat the forming pickup line!

where should i park?

St John the Evangelist- Encinitas, Ceremony: There is a large parking lot in front of the church that will be open for all guests. River Garden, Venue: There is a large parking lot and an open gravel lot next to it for overflow parking for the event.

Will there be vegan or vegetarian food options?

Yes, chef's choice meals will be available for special diets with advanced notice. If you have a food restriction or allergy please let us know on your RSVP, and we'll make sure you're well taken care of and your taste buds are singing with joy!

Will there be an open bar?

We will have a hosted bar of wine, beer, seltzers, and 2 signature cocktails on us and the hangover is on you! Just a friendly heads-up, the paparazzi will be out in full force, so any drunken shenanigans may end up in the family album and will be mocked for years to come. Please proceed with caution ;)

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Absolutely! We love seeing your snapshots! When you're sharing the love on social media, don't forget to use our hashtag: #EvAndJCWedInSD. That way, we can join in on the fun and relive the memories together!

What time does reception end?

Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and our party wraps up at 10 PM sharp. For those who still have some dancing left in them, you're invited to join us at The Alley or Coyote Bar and Grill in Carlsbad afterwards to keep the celebration alive and the good times rolling! Let's extend the festivities – because why should the fun stop when the clock strikes 10?
