Jose and Gabrielle met at Schoolcraft College while he was playing baseball and she was playing softball. Jose says Gabrielle caught his eye during workouts, but it was ultimately Gabrielle who made the first move and introduced herself.

In a fun twist of fate, they both wore #16 for the Ocelots — a number that has held special meaning for them ever since, even inspiring their wedding date. They officially began dating on December 10, 2019, while still at Schoolcraft, and their connection only grew stronger from there. After graduating from Schoolcraft, they both continued their studies at Eastern Michigan University, where they lived just two floors apart for two years. They’ve been lucky to share life side by side ever since. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and #16!
