To make this process as easy as possible, Gabby and Josh have come up with a quick guide to make sure planning your vacation goes smoothly.
STEP 1: BOOK YOUR ROOM
Our room block is closed.
STEP 2: PASSPORT CHECK
Since this is an international trip, you do need a passport valid at least 6+ months past your travel dates. Passport cards are not valid for international air travel. If you have a passport, be sure to check the expiration date. If you don't already have a passport, it is a good idea to apply early to be sure you receive it in time for your trip. Passports normally take 4-6 weeks to process, but there is currently a delay due to the pandemic. We suggest applying a minimum of 4 months in advance as a precaution.
To apply for a new passport or update an expired passport visit Travel.State.Gov.
STEP 3: BOOK YOUR FLIGHT
Airfare is not included and will need to be booked on your own. You will fly into the Cancun International (CUN) airport. Once your flight is booked Luxury Travel Boutique will need you to email them your flight information so they can coordinate your ground transfer from the airport to the hotel.
STEP 4: PACK YOUR BAGS
Even if you are planning on checking a bag, it is always a good idea to bring a carry-on with all of the most important items that you would need to get you through a few days (from medication, to toiletries and swimwear).
Wedding Attire:
Beach formal - if you need help or inspiration, check out this Pinterest board under "Guest Dress Code" or get in touch with Gabby! Do not wear flip flops, shorts, tank tops or white for the ceremony and reception.
Rehearsal/Cocktail Hour Attire:
Tropical/beach colors! Feel free to wear bright colors, linen clothing, sundresses and sandals. We will be outside for cocktail hour and for the dinner. It is acceptable for men to wear shorts.
Tipping:
Your resort fee has built-in tips for the staff, so while you are not obligated to tip, we recommend to bring at least $100 per guest for tips. Typically tips ($1-$10) are encouraged to show appreciation for shuttle drivers, bartenders, waitstaff, cleaning staff, tour guides and spa staff.
Dining Attire:
Restaurants at the resort have dress codes that fall into 3 categories: Casual, Casual Elegance, Formal. Please be sure to pack accordingly to experience all of the resort's dining options. See below for examples of acceptable wear:
Casual – Bermudas, long shorts, or capri pants. Sneakers, tennis shoes or sandals. No sleeveless shirts or bathing suits for men. Ladies must wear a swimsuit wrap or cover-up.
Casual Elegance – Sneakers, tennis shoes, or dress sandals. Dress shirts with sleeves. Long pants required for men. No sleeveless shirts for men. No swimwear.
Formal - Dress shoes or dress sandals. Dress shirts with sleeves. Long pants, not jeans. No swimwear. Preferred dress or dress pants for women.
Beach towels:
The resort provides the guests with beach towels to use on property, therefore you do not have to pack any if you do not want to!
Items in the room:
The resort provides bathroom toiletries, travel size sunscreen, beach tote bags and bottled water in all rooms.
Suggested items to bring:
Sunscreen, aloe vera, bug spray, sunglasses, an insulated cup (with a reusable straw), water-proof bag for phone, multiple swimwear options.
