Limited camping is available at the reception site. If you would prefer a cabin, there are a number of options nearby, please make the reservations soon as they will sell out.
Additional, more spacious camping is available at the public campground across the lake which is a short walk away. These will also book up well in advance.
Please see the Accommodations tab for more detailed information.
Catering will be provided at the reception. Saturday morning is a potluck brunch.
All other meals over the weekend will be independent. There is a small general store nearby and the Rock Creek Lakes resort has a grill that is open for breakfast and lunch. We will have a small communal camp kitchen set up for anyone camping at the reception site.
Drinks! Beer, wine, champagne and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided during the reception, but the remainder of the weekend is BYOB.
Tip: bring a personal cooler and clearly put your name on it. That way people won't mistake your tasty beverages for communal drinks.
Please be sure to bring a lightweight chair, cushion or picnic blanket with you to the ceremony site! You should also bring a chair for hanging around at the reception site.
Everyone should have a headlamp, for use after dark.
If you are camping, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra blankets. It can get quite cold at night. Bring warm, cozy fur jackets, too!
Other BYO: in an effort to reduce our environmental impact, we ask that you bring your own cup, plate and silverware. We will have extras in case people forget.
Extras: hiking gear, yoga mat, paddle board, swim suit, fishing pole, musical instruments, hammock, picnic blanket, LED flow props, cornhole, whatever else sounds fun!
Altitude Sickness: because the reception site is at 10,000, some guests may suffer from mild altitude sickness with symptoms like headache, nausea and brain fog. Consider talking to your doctor about a prescription to "diamox" which is a common medication for altitude sickness.
We encourage you to download directions before you arrive.
Enjoy this time to disconnect and unwind.
