The Domain
The domain is located in North Austin that consists of great stores to shop, eat, or drink at! Genie and Joseph's favorites are Blue Sake Sushi Grill, North Italia, Dogwood, and Culinary Dropout. Other fun activities include Sandbox VR gaming and Punchbowl Social.
Esther's Follies
Esther's Folllies is located on 6th street of downtown Austin. Esther's Follies is a SNL-inspired musical, comedy, and magic show all-in-one! Make sure to book your tickets in advance before you plan on going.
Pete's Dueling Piano Bar
Pete's Dueling Piano Bar is a fun bar to check out and is located on East 6th Downtown of Austin. It is an interactive place to check out for a good sing-along, music, and atmosphere! They may require an entrance fee during weekends.
The Roosevelt Room
The Roosevelt Room is where carefully crafted cocktails collide with the city’s easy-going attitude. Located in downtown Austin, the Roosevelt Room is a '20s-inspired cocktail bar and music venue with two full bars, a large dance floor, full stage, DJ Booth, full PA system, and a large mezzanine with balcony overlooking the downstairs bar. It is definitely a must place to check out while in Austin!
Dance Dance Karaoke
If you did not already know, Genie and Joseph's number one hobby is to karaoke! Their favorite go-to spot is Dance Dance Karaoke that offers private karaoke rooms for you to enjoy with your friends or family with BYO drinks and food. Make sure to reserve a small, medium or large room in advance before going.
Kayak or Paddleboarding at Lady Bird Lake
Lady Bird Lake is located in Downtown Austin. There are many surrounding businesses that will offer canoes, kayaks, and paddle-boards to enjoy your time on the lake while seeing the downtown views!
Mount Bonnell
Mount Bonnell is located alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River. This free tourist attraction hosts the highest point in Austin, providing spectacular views of the city. The peak can be accessed by driving and parking along Mt Bonnell Dr, and climbing 100+ steps to reach the peak.
Austin City Limits Music Festival
Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival is located in Zilker Park. ACL features a diverse lineup of acts every year with 9 stages, 100+ performances over two weekends (Oct 4-6 and Oct 11-13, 2024)!
Barton Springs
Barton Springs is a set of four natural water springs located at Barton Creek on the grounds of Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. Barton Springs Pool measures three acres in size, and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees, ideal for year-round swimming. If you're planning on bringing your furry friend, visit Barkin' Springs downstream, which is home to doggo-friendly waters!
