Our Wedding

Grace and Logan met in high school band. Their first interaction was Logan asking Grace for a bobby-pin to hold his shoulder-length hair out of his face at marching band practice. They started dating when Grace was a sophomore and Logan was a senior. They went separate ways for a time while Grace was away at college in Ohio but resumed their friendship and later relationship when she moved back home to pursue her master’s degree. Logan proposed on what was the 10 year anniversary of their very first date (which had been at Lucky’s in Imlay City in December 2014). They are also proud cat parents of Esther and Clementine and are excited to continue their journey through life as a married couple.

Itinerary

There are a handful of hotels within walking distance of our ceremony and reception venues in downtown Lansing. There are also many other hotels located around Lansing and East Lansing as well as many local AirBNBs. We are not planning to reserve a hotel block because most of our guests live fairly close to the area. If you need help finding a place to stay please reach out to one of us.

We moved to the Lansing area in spring 2024. We love living here and hope you have time to check out some of the fun things Michigan’s Capital City has to offer!

Michigan State is well known for its innovative horticulture program that has been a part of the school since its beginnings. The MSU Gardens are a fun place to explore and include a children’s garden as well.

Horrocks is a family owned market on the west side of town that has fresh produce, specialty grocery items, a huge garden center, and even a beer garden.

Potter Park Zoo celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. With over 20 acres to explore and hundreds of animals to visit there is lots to see and do.

Old Town is Lansing’s original downtown and boutique district. The neighborhood offers lots to do including unique shops, restaurants, bars, and galleries.

The museum is dedicated to R.E. Olds, a leader in Lansing’s automotive history. The  museum houses an extensive collection of automobiles, engines, and other automotive materials significant to the transportation history of the region.

Lansing has served as Michigan’s Capital City since 1847.  The current legislative building was completed in 1879. The Capitol is open to visitors, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, as well as the first Saturday of each month, 10am-3pm.
