Our Wedding

Ryan and Grace are high school sweethearts who met in newspaper class. Grace was immediately drawn to Ryan. Their relationship started by Grace asking Ryan a million questions during class, to Ryan walking Grace to the lunchroom everyday, and the rest is history.

May 20, 2016 Ryan (16) was a sophomore and Grace (14) was a freshman in high school. Their first official date was at a NC State vs. UNC baseball game.

Ryan & Grace Started Dating

Ryan and Grace loved attending Campbell University together for three years. Go Camels! Ryan played three seasons for Campbell’s baseball team. He graduated in ‘22 with a B.S. in Sports Communication.Grace graduated in ‘23 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Health Communication. Grace is currently pursuing an M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

January 29, 2023 After 6 1/2 years together, it finally happened! At Lake Crabtree County Park, Ryan &amp; Grace got engaged. Earlier in the day, they had brunch at their favorite spot. Ryan told Grace that they were going to go out to dinner with his family that night but wanted to take pictures at a nearby park beforehand. Grace did not expect a thing and was 100% surprised. After the proposal, they met up with their families to celebrate. It was an amazing day!

Our Story

VRBO PROPERTY

The wedding will be in Boone, North Carolina Instead of a traditional venue, we will be staying and getting married at this amazing rental property. The stunning mountain scenery will make for a beautiful ceremony and weekend! Space is limited, but we will be able to accommodate most of our traveling guests on the property for the weekend All rooms will be assigned prior to arrival Bedrooms are limited, but we will provide air mattresses and a designated sleeping location to those who do not receive a bedroom

ARRIVING AT THE PROPERTY

Everyone is welcome to arrive at the property at any point starting Friday morning. We will be having dinner that night, so please arrive with time to bring in luggage and get ready before dinner. You will be going on an adventure going up to the property. The road leading up to the property is steep, windy, and narrow. In addition, the property is off a gravel road so please plan cars accordingly. Lastly, beware of wildlife on the roads leading up to the property. We recommend that you take the drive slow and proceed with caution, especially if you are not used to driving in the mountains or driving in the dark. Due to the challenging terrain, limited parking, and activities on the property, you will likely not leave the property after you arrive if you are staying there. You may want to plan time into your drive to run errands or visit locations before heading up the mountain.

ACCOMMODATIONS OFF THE PROPERTY

If you would like to stay at a different place nearby rather than on the property, please let us know for planning purposes. If you choose this option, we will let you know the events and times we would like you to be at the house for. Unfortunately, due to limited space we will not be able to accommodate all guests on the property. We will contact those who fall into this category.

Friends &amp; Family who are staying at the property can arrive at any time. Please drive safe! We can't wait to see the weekend from your perspectives! We are only allotted 10 cars at the property at a time. Thus, we would appreciate if you carpooled with your loved ones. Guests can start arriving Friday morning but can shuffle in throughout the day. Please let us know your ETA so we can greet you. Everyone must be off of the property by 9:30 am. Feel free to stick around Boone and explore before heading home! We will be off on our mini-moon to Nashville bright and early! Thank you so much for coming to celebrate and drive home safe!

Activities Around The Property

We will be spending most of our time at the house. However, feel free to visit the surrounding area if you would like. App State is 20 mins away, and since we are in the mountains, there are plenty of overlooks and hiking trails nearby.
