We like to say our story is a mix of perfect timing and a little bit of movie magic. We couldn't of written it better if we tried.

Though we’d known of each other for a couple of years (thanks to Gracelin’s cousin being Kyle’s best friend), it wasn’t until May 2024 in Colorado that we finally crossed paths. Kyle was stopping through Denver and ended up at Gracelin’s family grad party - and from there, everything just seemed to fall into place.

That night we rounded up the cousins for laser tag, but when Gracelin’s gear broke, she stepped out of the game. Ironically, Kyle’s broke too (😉), and instead of playing, we spent the time hanging out in the arcade. When the cousins came out of the laser tag room, they got a front row seat to what turned out to be our very first date.

A week later, Gracelin found herself at a concert of an artist Kyle was touring with in Iowa. He asked her out in Iowa City a few nights later, and before he left, they even squeezed in breakfast together. This date led to the idea of Gracelin booking a spontaneous trip to Arizona a month later. That trip kept extending - first into New Mexico, then Colorado, and finally back to Iowa. Let’s just say she racked up plenty of canceled flight credits! Somewhere along the way, it became clear that the stars had aligned, and this love was something special.

Since then, we’ve navigated long distance between Iowa, Arizona, and Austin - countless FaceTimes, postcards, flights, and adventures along the way. Kyle moved to Iowa in November 2024 to be closer to Gracelin (and, of course, their favorite boy Kobi!). In March 2025, on a family vacation in Tulum, Mexico, Kyle proposed after a workout at a beach gym. Since then, they've been planning their wedding with lots of breakfast & antiquing dates, ISU games, fetching sessions with Kobi, and concerts in between! Just a couple of old souls who found each other at the right time. <3

Now, we couldn’t be more excited to begin our marriage!

We’re so grateful for the family and friends who have cheered us on from the beginning, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together.
