Our Wedding

We like to say our story is a mix of perfect timing and a little bit of movie magic. We couldn't of written it better if we tried. Though we’d known of each other for a couple of years (thanks to Gracelin’s cousin being Kyle’s best friend), it wasn’t until May 2024 in Colorado that we finally crossed paths. Kyle was stopping through Denver and ended up at Gracelin’s family grad party - and from there, everything just seemed to fall into place. That night we rounded up the cousins for laser tag, but when Gracelin’s gear broke, she stepped out of the game. Ironically, Kyle’s broke too (😉), and instead of playing, we spent the time hanging out in the arcade. When the cousins came out of the laser tag room, they got a front row seat to what turned out to be our very first date. A week later, Gracelin found herself at a concert of an artist Kyle was touring with in Iowa. He asked her out in Iowa City a few nights later, and before he left, they even squeezed in breakfast together. This date led to the idea of Gracelin booking a spontaneous trip to Arizona a month later. That trip kept extending - first into New Mexico, then Colorado, and finally back to Iowa. Let’s just say she racked up plenty of canceled flight credits! Somewhere along the way, it became clear that the stars had aligned, and this love was something special. Since then, we’ve navigated long distance between Iowa, Arizona, and Austin - countless FaceTimes, postcards, flights, and adventures along the way. Kyle moved to Iowa in November 2024 to be closer to Gracelin (and, of course, their favorite boy Kobi!). In March 2025, on a family vacation in Tulum, Mexico, Kyle proposed after a workout at a beach gym. Since then, they've been planning their wedding with lots of breakfast &amp; antiquing dates, ISU games, fetching sessions with Kobi, and concerts in between! Just a couple of old souls who found each other at the right time. &lt;3 Now, we couldn’t be more excited to begin our marriage!We’re so grateful for the family and friends who have cheered us on from the beginning, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together. Our celebrations: Iowa & Colorado

We will be tying the knot in a small, private ceremony surrounded by our closest friends and family in Winterset, Iowa. Our ceremony will take place at Iris Aisle, an intimate greenhouse wedding venue just outside of Des Moines, in the heart of a cedar tree grove and surrounded by nature. Due to the venue’s limited capacity, our wedding ceremony will be invite-only. Wedding Attire

Attire: Backyard Wedding/Cocktail attire. No blue jeans please! Our colors are blue/green/brown (nature colors). Stuck on what to wear? Below is a look at our wedding that may help you. Shoes: Iris Aisle is in the country, so we highly recommend bringing appropriate shoes! We plan to utilize the outdoor areas, (whether depending) and we want you to be comfortable. Wide heels or sneakers/boots will best serve you for exploring the property!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony? Our ceremony is at 5PM. We recommend you arrive 30 minutes in advance. What is the parking situation?Iris Aisle venue has limited parking (around 30 spaces). Please carpool if able. Are children allowed?To our June wedding: Yes, as long as their names were listed on the invitation! To our July Colorado celebration: Yes. Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?We ask that you do not bring a plus one to our June ceremony unless included on your invitation or without reaching out first. You are welcome to bring a plus one to our July Colorado celebration. What should I wear to the Colorado July celebration? Semi-formal/cocktail attire
