MONEY
Call your credit card company and bank a few days before we leave and let them know you are traveling out of the country. American dollars is also fine if you are bringing cash.
ID's
Make copies or take pictures on your phone of your driver’s license, passports, and credit cards.
TIP MONEY
Although it is an all-inclusive resort and tips are technically included, if you notice the staff working hard and exceeding your expectations they appreciate any extra tips. They will remember you and take care of you! US Dollars are perfect in small bills- $1’s & $5’s- $20’s will be hard to break.
HOUSEKEEPING
If you have a preferred time for housekeeping and turn down service, let them know upon check-in and they will make note of it and will do their best to accommodate. We recommend times when you know you’ll be out at the pool or out for meals, say between 10-1 for housekeeping and 7:30-9 for turn-down. This way if you want to come back to the room for a mid-day siesta, it will all be done
SPA
There are monthly discounts available for the spa which are found in the app. You can pre-book your service to save anywhere from 20-30%. There is also apparently a small beach spa about a three minute walk down the beach called “Tropical Treasures”. When facing the ocean turn right and walk down the beach. They offer massages, fish pedicures, and souvenirs. People have left very consistent reviews of fabulous massages looking out onto the ocean.
HYDROTHERAPY
If you booked an Excellence or Finest club room you will receive one complimentary hydrotherapy session at the spa. Don’t forget to use it before you leave!
ROOM SERVICE
There is a service box in your closet that can be accessed from the hallway. You can set up a standing order of coffee, croissants, fruit, etc. to be delivered at a certain time each morning, especially if you like a coffee and a snack pre-breakfast. They will deliver it without disturbing you & you can grab it when you’re ready. You can also pre-order room service the evening before to have it delivered once you wake up, or order room service before you go out for the evening for a late night snack.
SECURITY
Lock everything in the safe in your closet. Money, passports, sunglasses etc. If there are any issues with your safe, immediately call the front desk to come fix it.
BOOZE
When ordering a drink, specify the brand of alcohol you want. Additionally, in your room, you have 3 fully sealed bottles of liquor (vodka, gin, whiskey, tequila, baileys, etc.)
There is a dress code for all restaurants, with the strictest being at dinner. Breakfast & lunch are more casual: shorts, t-shirts (no sleeveless t-shirts for dining), cover-ups, sandals. For dinner at the a la carte restaurants, men must wear pants (golf pants, jeans, etc), closed toed shoes (boat shoes, loafers, dress shoes, tennis shoes), and collared shirt. Women are able to wear dresses, skirts, capris, blouse, shorts, etc. Flip-flops, slides, and beach sandals are not accepted in the a la cartes.
There are more casual dinner options available should you prefer (Sports Bar, Food Truck, Buffet).
Please refer to the app for most up to date Information on which restaurants are open which days of the week. This is frequently changing based on capacity at the resort. Each restaurant lists acceptable attire for dining.
Keep in mind there are no reservations required for dining, but sometimes this can mean a fifteen or twenty minute wait. Check in, and grab a beverage! Please check the app for the restaurant you are wanting to attend for the days it is open and to check the dress code prior to dining
Reservations are required for the teppanyaki table at Shoji and the interactive Yakiniku tables (Korean BBQ, Sukiyaki, Shabu- Shabu), Teppanyaki, and Wok tables at The Melting Pot. They recommend checking in around 2 pm to make reservations for that evening
