Our Wedding

Cameron and I first met in high school — I was a sophomore on the Liberty High School Color Guard team, and he was part of a group of three guys who joined as our "road crew." Their job was to help move our equipment... though, if we’re being honest, they mostly distracted us and caused chaos (in the most endearing way). Even though we saw each other often, we barely acknowledged one another — just two teens in the same orbit, not yet crossing paths in a meaningful way.After graduation, we went our separate ways. Fast forward a few years: I was in college and working at Chili’s when, on a random weekday, Cameron walked in on his lunch break — and I happened to be his waitress. He was shy, polite, and charming in that quiet way of his. I, on the other hand, wasn’t about to let him slip away again — so I made the first move and asked him out.Our love grew slowly and steadily. His calm, thoughtful presence balanced out my loud and lively spirit in the best way. For our first date, we went to Haunt at Worlds of Fun. We laughed, screamed, walked hand-in-hand, and braved one roller coaster together. Later, I found out Cameron actually hates roller coasters but rode it just for me — a small act that said a lot.Like any great love story, ours had a turning point. When things began to get serious, there was a moment of hesitation — a brief pause. But Cameron knew I was the one and wasn’t about to let fear get in the way. He showed up with his whole heart, and I knew then what I had always hoped: this was it.We’ve now lived together for three years and share our home with a very spoiled (and very loved) puppy. One of our favorite things to do is curl up and watch movies — we have wildly different tastes, so we take turns introducing each other to our must-watch favorites.We got engaged on our five-year anniversary, and planning this wedding has been one of the most fun and meaningful adventures we’ve shared. We continue to learn about each other every day, and we’re so excited to take this next step surrounded by the people who know and love us best.We can’t wait to say I do — and to finally, officially, start our forever.

Emily is my brilliant work bestie and has been a part of my life for over four amazing years. Her energy is pure sunshine — if you could see her aura, it would absolutely be yellow. She’s the life of every party, always ready to dance, laugh, and celebrate the night away. I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side.

Rami and I go all the way back to college, where we bonded over our first jobs at Chili’s — and my life has been sweeter ever since. Her heart is as big as her laugh, and she’s been by my side through it all. Now, she’s ready to help me and Cameron celebrate forever in true Rami fashion: with love, joy, and a whole lot of fun.

Ellie has been my rock and my shoulder to lean on since the 6th grade. Her empathy and kindness have always inspired me to be a better person, and her unwavering confidence and passion have pushed me to grow into my best self. She’s been with me through every season of life, and I’m so grateful she’ll be standing with me on this one.

Katie and I go all the way back to elementary school. Though we weren’t always side by side growing up — discovering our own interests and paths — we’ve always been a part of each other’s lives, thanks to our families. Through every chapter, our friendship has remained a constant, and I’m so thankful to have her with me on this one.

Nikki, my big sister, has been by my side every step of the way during this wedding journey — helping plan, support, and bring our perfect day to life. She’s the best sister I could ever ask for, and I can’t wait to celebrate this unforgettable milestone with her right beside me.

Luke is my younger brother, though you’d never guess it by looking at him — he’s taller, louder, and somehow more athletic and nerdy than I ever managed to be. He brings a mix of jock confidence and geeky curiosity that keeps things interesting. As the straightforward one of the bunch, he’s never afraid to tell it like it is — especially when reminding me I’m the shortest brother.  I'm truly honored to have you by my side on one of the most important days of my life.

Chris is my older brother — the quiet one in the room, but always the first to show up when it matters. His steady support and calm presence have meant more to me than words can say. I’m proud to have him by my side on my wedding day, just like he’s always been.

Tyler and I met at work, and while we don’t talk every day, I know without a doubt he’s someone I can count on. He’s a little crazy in the best way — the kind of hilarious, unpredictable energy every group needs. No matter the situation, he always shows up when it matters most. hank you for being part of this unforgettable day—it wouldn’t be the same without you.

I met Carter at work, where the parts delivery guys quickly dubbed him “Big Fella,” and the name stuck for good reason. He swears he’s Southern through and through, but everyone knows there’s still plenty of Northerner in him. Either way, he’s one of the most genuine guys I know, and I’m lucky to have him up here with me. I couldn’t imagine going through this day without you right there next to me.

Carter

Drayson is my older cousin, but he’s always felt more like a brother to me. Whether we’re quoting Tropic Thunder or screaming “Go Chiefs!” on game day, his passion for sports and sense of humor are unmatched. Around here he’s better known as Lieutenant Dan — don’t ask, just know it stuck. It means the world to me to have you standing with me on my wedding day.
