Our Wedding

Option 1 - Bell Tents

For those of you who want to be able to stroll (or roll) into a fully kitted out glamping tent when you're ready to call it a night... We have a number of 5m glamping tents that can be booked directly <a href="https://bumblebell.co.uk/harryandnatalia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">via this link</a>. Each tent can be configured for between 1 and 4 people with either single or double beds (just choose the relevant option in the link above). All tents come with:- raised metal bed frames- mattress toppers- all linen (sheets, duvet, pillows, pillowcases)- bedside tables- cushions &amp; throws We will have toilets available for you to use, as well as places to charge your electronics! We realise these work out to be a bit pricy if you're coming alone, so if you're willing to share, let us know and we can link you up with other people to split the cost.

Option 2 - Self catering accomodation 

There are a few holiday lets near Chevington on Airbnb and Vrbo, but there's likely to be more choice in Bury St Edmunds (the largest nearby town). Just bear in mind you will need to organise a taxi in advance if you aren't driving (see Travel page).

Option 3 - Hotels

What to wear

Please wear anything that's appropriate to a summer garden party. We'd love you to dress up but we still want you to be comfortable (and ready to dance!). Summer dresses and light suits would be perfect. The reception is taking place in a marquee outdoors and while there will be heating if it gets cold we'd advise you to bring a layer for the evening. What shoes should I wear? Please feel free to wear heels but bear in mind that a large part of the day will be outdoors on grass, so block heels/wedges will fare much better than stiletto heels. There is a ten minute walk between the church and the house (weather depending, this may involve a small walk across a field) so please feel free to bring alternative shoes to change into for the walk. Changing into Crocs (or other comfortable shoes) for the dancing is heavily encouraged :)

How to get here

Driving &amp; Parking If you're driving to the wedding please use the postcode for either the church (IP29 5QH) or Chevington Lodge Farm (IP29 5QL) depending on where you'd like to park. Please see below for a map showing the location of both the house and the church. Option 1 - Driving and parking at Chevington Lodge Farm Follow Google maps until you arrive at 'IP29 5QL' - this should take you to a postcode on New Road. Once at this postcode you should see a sign for the wedding which will take you down a gravel drive. There will be plenty of parking available at the house and you will be able to leave your car here for the duration of the wedding and reception. It's a ten minute walk from the house to the church and there will be a "walking bus" leaving the house for the church at 13:15 - please be parked and ready by this time if you'd like to join the walking group! Option 2 - Driving to All Saints Chevington You can drive directly to the church where there is also parking - you'll be able to park your car here but will need to move it after the ceremony and park it at Chevington Lodge Farm. If you're planning to do this option please let us know so we can make sure there's enough parking reserved for family and friends with accessibility needs.

Trains The nearest train station to the venue is Bury St Edmunds. From London, you *should be able to take a train from Kings Cross to Bury St Edmunds (with a change at Cambridge). This train usually takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Train services from Birmingham and further North will usually either go via London or involve a change at Cambridge or Ely. From Bury St Edmunds train station it's a 20 minute drive to the church or the house - we strongly advise pre-booking a taxi rather than relying on public transport! Please note Uber/Bolt have not arrived in Bury St Edmunds yet! * Unfortunately we can't predict what chaos may happen to the National Rail network on the day of the wedding so please check the National Rail Journey Planner nearer the time to make sure trains are running and there aren't rail replacement services!
