We’re thrilled to share our journey with all of you—our family, friends, and loved ones who have been part of our story.

How We Met

Our story begins in Waco, Texas—Hena’s hometown and Savan’s college town. Interestingly, we both attended the same Gateway to India event at Baylor back in 2014, but fate had other plans, and we didn’t officially meet until several years later.

When we finally crossed paths, it felt like the universe had been saving the perfect moment for us. Our first date wasn’t just the two of us—it included Savan’s dog, Ghosty, his family’s good luck charm. True to form, Ghosty’s magic worked once again, blessing the start of a relationship that would grow into something extraordinary.

Our Journey

From our first date with Ghosty to where we are now, our journey has been filled with laughter, adventures, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Whether it’s exploring new places, watching Friends for the millionth time, or simply enjoying the little things, we’ve built a relationship that feels like home.

Along the way, we’ve learned how to lift each other up, challenge each other, and grow together (and Savan even picked up some Gujarati along the way). Through life’s ups and downs, we’ve always been each other’s biggest supporters, knowing that no matter what, we have each other to lean on. More than just creating memories, we’ve built a partnership based on trust, respect, and an endless supply of inside jokes.

The Proposal

The next step in our journey came on a windy, chaotic morning, September 7th—a day we’ll never forget. Near our future home in Melissa, Savan got down on one knee at Adriatica Village and asked Hena the question that would change both of our lives forever. Surrounded by love and the promise of new beginnings, Hena said yes. The celebration didn’t stop there—we spent the rest of the day surrounded by friends and family, making memories that we’ll cherish forever.

Looking Ahead

Now, as we prepare to take our seven laps around the Agni and prep for our joint tax filing, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey that brought us here and the people who have supported us along the way. We want our wedding to not only be a celebration of our love but also a celebration of all the moments, memories, and relationships that have shaped who we are.
