Wedding Ceremony and Reception 

We kindly ask our guests to dress Summer Formal for this event. We want all guests to feel comfortable. However, please no jeans, shorts, or flip flops.    What does formal mean? Men: Suit with a tie.  Women: Long or midi dress.

The vibe of this event is Costal Cocktail. Meaning, cocktail attire for a summer event held outside.

Please note, Shelter Island is a small community with a limited amount of hotel options. Due to the holiday weekend, space will be&nbsp;even more limited. We urge guests to book by the end of January in order to secure a place to stay.&nbsp; For the most cost effective option we recommend getting a group together to rent a Airbnb or VRBO. If you are planning to go to the beach you will need to get a beach parking pass.You can purchase daily passes online for $25 using&nbsp;<a href="https://parkmobile.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ParkMobile</a>&nbsp;or pick one up at the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shelterislandtown.us/town-clerk" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Town Clerk’s Office</a>&nbsp;(can purchase a weekly pass there too.) If purchasing online, be sure to refer to the correct&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shelterislandtown.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1210/Parking-Zones-Map-PDF?bidId=" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Parking Zone</a>&nbsp;for the beach your planning to visit &amp; know your license plate #. Pro tip: Most of the beaches are rocky so you may want to bring water shoes.

For a serene and tranquil beach visit on Shelter Island, Shell Beach is your destination. This narrow stretch of land extending into Shelter Island Sound is a stark contrast to the wider beaches on the Island. It does not have restrooms or lifeguards but the views and shell collecting are some of the best on the island!

Situated on the east side of Shelter Island, Menhaden Lane offers a unique beach experience. While officially classified as a town landing and not a beach, its serene view of Gardiner’s Bay and Long Beach Bar “Bug” Lighthouse makes it a worthwhile visit.

Places to eat on Shelter Island. A good less pricey take-out option. <a href="https://mariaskitchenshelterisland.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">- Maria's Kitchen</a>: Located next to the Shelter island Brewery, Marias does take out Mexican food. Pro tip: get a drink at the brewery and order from Maria's for a chill dinner out and good vibe. <a href="https://eccentricbagel.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">- Eccentric Bagel</a>: The only bagel place on the island which is good for grab and go breakfast and lunch options. <a href="https://marieeiffelmarket.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">- Marie Eiffel Market</a>: A "fancy" market where you can get breakfast and lunch items. It is grab and go but also has seating on the water in the back of the market. Pro tip: This is a must visit (in the opinion of the bride) , but if you are looking to keep the price low may just want to grab a snack, coffee, and sit int the back on the water. <a href="https://www.starscafeshelterisland.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">- Stars Cafe</a>: A fave of the Berman's, Stars serves really delish breakfast and lunch. Want a place that serves all 3 meals with out door and indoor seating? The Islander diner is for you! Very casual and beachy vibe with classic diner food. Sit Down Dining: <a href="https://www.saltshelterisland.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">- SALT Waterfront Bar and Grill</a>: If you are interested in waterfront dining this is your best option on the island. Open for lunch and dinner SALT serves delish food at a beautiful location (the same boatyard where the wedding is being held).
