Yes! There is an IGA on Shelter Island. However, groceries can get expensive. We recommend bringing a cooler with some of your own staples from home or stopping at a grocery store on the way out before arriving on Shelter Island.

Yes! We recommend trying to secure accommodations on Shelter Island. However, if you are not able to stay on Shelter island we recommend Greenport, Southhold, Sag Harbor or any other surrounding North or South Fork areas.

In order to get to Shelter Island you must take the drive-on North Ferry from the town of Greenport or the South Ferry from the town of North Haven. Please note, North Ferry's last boat from Shelter Island departs at 11:45 P.M. and South Ferry's last boat from Shelter Island departs at 1:45 A.M.

Uber's are not readily available on the Island. However, there is Shelter Island Taxi that can be reached at (631) 210-6677. Additional information on transportation to follow.
