If you are traveling by plane, please fly into Memphis International Airport. We recommend ordering an Uber/ Lyft to take you from the airport to your hotel.

Memphis International Airport

Please reserve your room by October 21, 2025 to receive the wedding guest rate. You can also call the hotel and ask for: "Arbelaez and Thompson Wedding Room Block."

Most of our activities will be in downtown and midtown Memphis. If you choose to book your own hotel, please make arrangements in these areas. Voted "Best Memphis BBQ" by Mac and Bella. Located a block away from the Civil Rights Museum.

Central BBQ - Downtown

Be sure to order the cheese fries! A Memphis staple. It is right across the street from the Peabody.

Delicious Italian and another Arbelaez favorite, located in downtown Memphis.

Hot chicken, Memphis style! Located in downtown Memphis.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Great spot for pizza and beers! We recommend the pretzel nugs, Table 55 pizza, and Miss Romana salad (with bacon). Free parking is available behind the brewery, and lots of outdoors space.

You can't leave the 901 without a Muddy's cupcake (or pretty much anything from Muddy's).

Peabody Ducks

A 90-year tradition, the Peabody ducks visit the Peabody hotel lobby fountain every day from 11AM to&nbsp;5PM each day. We recommend being there 30 minutes before 11AM or before 5PM to see them in action.

Big River Crossing

Walk to Arkansas and across the mighty Mississippi! <a href="https://www.bigrivercrossing.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Big River Crossing</a> is an easy walk for all ages; round trip is ~2 miles. Located 5 minutes from Tom Lee Park and 10 minute drive from the Peabody, free parking is available at the start of the trail.

Memphis Zoo & Overton Park

Home to 3,500+ animals,<a href="https://www.memphiszoo.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> the Memphis Zoo </a>invites you to travel the world through its animal exhibits. The zoo is located right next to <a href="https://overtonpark.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Overton Park</a>, a family friendly park with lots of green space, a playground, and great golfing spot.

Memphis Fire Museum

An interactive, kid-friendly environment, the <a href="https://firemuseum.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Fire Museum </a>is located in the legendary Fire Engine House No. 1. All ages can try on turnout coats and helmets, play on&nbsp;authentic fire equipment, drive a fire engine simulation to a fire, and slide down a brass fire pole. Located in downtown Memphis, it is a 10 minute walk from the Peabody hotel.

National Civil Rights Museum

The <a href="https://civilrightsmuseum.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">National Civil Rights Museum</a> traces the history of the civil rights movement in the United States from the 17th century to the present. Connected to the Lorraine Motel, the museum and heritage site are a moving visit for all interested.

Bass Pro Shop

For all outdoors lovers, this <a href="https://stores.basspro.com/us/tn/memphis/1-bass-pro-dr.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bass Pro </a>includes a hotel and roof top bar, where one can stand out on top of the Mississippi river. You can't miss the giant pyramid from downtown Memphis!

Tom Lee Park

<a href="https://www.tomleepark.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tom Lee Park </a> includes plenty of room to run and explore and a playground for all ages. Located next to the Mississippi River, the park provides a unique view of downtown. Free street parking is available.
