February 2, 2023 — the day we both least expected to meet our future husband and wife! We first met at a Truett McConnell baseball game. Isabelle was there taking pictures, and Grayson was being his goofy self in the dugout. Grayson offered Isabelle some candy, and boom!—we instantly became best friends. From that moment on, Grayson made every effort to be around Isabelle in any way he could. We would go out for ice cream, hang out with friends, or come up with random games to play in the gym. Before long, we both realized that we liked each other as more than just friends, and we decided to start a relationship—despite the odds at the time. Since that day, we’ve spent nearly every possible moment together. Many summers were filled with trips to Buford, Georgia, where we’d see a movie or stroll around the mall—anything to avoid going weeks without seeing each other. We have the route from Clayton to McDonough completely memorized from making the trip weekend after weekend. People have always teased us for how “obsessed” we are with each other, but honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Getting to attend the same college has been one of our greatest blessings, and we’re forever thankful for all the sweet memories and days we’ve shared there. Over the past two and a half years, the Lord has blessed us in countless ways. He continues to grow us and surround us with godly family and friends who encourage us as we enter this new season of life. We are beyond grateful that He has allowed us to become husband and wife—and we cannot wait for that special day!
