What to do in Waterloo
The Waterloo Region is Jackie’s hometown and is known for its vibrant tech scene as well as the rich cultural heritage of the Mennonite and Amish communities.
The St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market is just a 15-minute drive from the Delta Hotel & Seagram Museum (ceremony venue). It is the largest farmers’ market in North America, featuring thousands of vendors, and will be open on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Right beside the Seagram Museum, you’ll find many great restaurants and shops along King Street. One of Jackie & Greg’s favourites is Beertown Restaurant, located in Waterloo Town Square.
Other restaurants the bride and groom recommend include:
Sole, located right beside the Seagram Museum
Wildcraft, a 10-minute drive away
Watami Sushi, a 10-minute walk from the Seagram Museum and Delta Hotel
There is also an excellent restaurant, Proof Kitchen & Bar, located inside the Delta Hotel. We’ve enjoyed many dinners there with friends.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by March 1st 2026 through this website under the RSVP tab.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony is scheduled to start promptly at 4pm at the Seagram Museum. Please arrive no later than 3:45pm.
Is there parking available?
There is limited parking in the public downtown lots located behind the Waterloo Town Square shopping centre. If you are from out of town and staying at the Delta Hotel parking is available there for $13 per night and it is a 3 minute walk across the street to the Ceremony Venue - Seagram Museum.
The cocktail reception is a 10 minute drive away at the Hacienda Sereda in Kitchener. There is plenty of parking available at this venue. Please note cars must be picked up before 11am the following day. We want all of our guests to enjoy the evening and arrive home safely so please do not drink and drive!
Are there nearby hotels or room blocks?
Yes, we have a room block set up at the Delta Hotel across the road from our ceremony venue. Please see the link in the 'travel' section.
Another nice hotel nearby is the Walper hotel in Kitchener.
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.
Can I bring a plus-one or guest not listed on the invitation?
Due to space limitations, we respectfully ask that only the guests listed on the envelope attend.
What happens between the ceremony and reception?
The family and wedding party will proceed for photos following the ceremony.
Guests are welcome to browse the Seagram Museum (to the left of the Ceremony space) and the second floor which features the story of the Seagram Museum and history of Waterloo region.
We invite our guests to proceed to Hacienda Sereda starting at 6pm.
Is there a wedding registry?
No boxed gifts please.
How can I visit the Seagram Museum
Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to explore the museum, located to the left of the Barrel Room where the ceremony will take place. On the second floor, you’ll find additional artifacts and exhibits showcasing the history of the Seagram Museum and the Waterloo Region.
Please note that the museum doors will close at 5:00 p.m. Guests are invited to make their way to the cocktail reception which starts at 6pm at Hacienda Sereda. Hacienda is approximately an 8-minute drive from the Seagram Museum.
