Kanya and Jackie met in their first year of university and quickly became best friends. Kanya’s love of dance soon rubbed off on Jackie, leading to many unforgettable late nights out together. During their undergraduate years, Kanya played a vital role in shaping Jackie’s social and spiritual life. Anyone who knows Kanya knows her infectious positivity and zest for life — qualities that make her truly one of a kind. Now a business owner in the acting and entertainment industry, Kanya is traveling all the way from South Africa with her husband Avon and three children.

Lesley and Jackie met through their part-time jobs as student fundraisers for the University of Waterloo, where Lesley also served as one of Jackie’s trainers. Together, they helped raise nearly $2 million for the university. After undergrad, both moved to Toronto, where Lesley became a big part of Jackie’s social life. They share a deep love of music, comedy, and the arts. By day, Lesley is a professional fundraiser; by night, a stand-up comedian — a perfect blend of heart and humor.

David and Jackie met in 2007 as part of the very first cohort of entrepreneurs at the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo. Over the years, David has been a trusted confidant to Jackie in both business and personal life. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to launch numerous ventures in the tech space. Sharing the same ENFP personality type, David and Jackie ensure there is never a dull moment when they’re together. David and Jackie have travelled extensively together, including trips to San Francisco, Napa Valley, and the Caribbean. In 2022, he joined Greg and Jackie on a trip to Italy, and in 2024 they returned for a four-week stay with the rest of his family. David’s husband, Adam, and their daughter, Aria, are truly family to Jackie and Greg, who graciously host them at their home in Waterloo whenever they are in the region. Aria will take part in the celebration as one of the flower girls.

Miranda and Jackie met during their undergraduate years at the University of Waterloo. Along with Kanya, the trio shared a full social life and a love of dancing the night away. After graduation, Miranda and Jackie spent nearly two decades overlapping between New York City and San Francisco, a true gift that allowed them to support one another through many different stages of life. Miranda’s energy is unmatched — always eager to try new foods, explore new cultures, travel to new cities, and rarely ever say no to a new adventure. With matching personalities, the two were a force to be reckoned with, and Jackie is forever grateful for their enduring friendship. Miranda is an optometrist based in San Francisco and shares life with her husband, Allen, and their two children.

Bojana and Jackie met in 2009 while they were in the early stages of building their businesses. With a shared passion for fashion, they traveled extensively to New York during fashion weeks. While living their NYC dreams, they created a unique bond over hard work, entrepreneurship and passion for the world of fashion. Bojana is one of the hardest workers Jackie has ever met. She is the founder and Creative Director of Sentaler.com specializes in luxury alpalca outerwear dressing celebrities and royals. She has been pegged the Queen of Coats by Forbes Magazine. Bojana lives in Toronto with her husband and their two children.

Ellenie and Jackie met during their undergraduate years as members of the Impact Entrepreneurship Group, a volunteer organization where they worked closely on numerous conferences and events. Balancing what often felt like full-time work alongside full-time studies, their shared entrepreneurial drive and many late nights forged a strong and lasting sisterhood. After graduating from UW, the two remained closely connected — sharing many nights out in Toronto, traveling together to Ireland, and exploring San Francisco. One of Jackie’s closest friends and most trusted confidants, Ellenie is an eternal optimist with a natural gift for striking up a conversation with just about anyone. She and her husband, Andrea, have two children and divide their time between Colledimezzo, Italy, and Markham, Canada.

Samantha and Jackie met twelve years ago in St. Catharines, where an instant friendship formed over shared values, a love of great food and wine, and countless nights of deep conversations. Samantha is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, and her wonderful family has welcomed Jackie and Greg time and again for memorable dinners and epic summer BBQs. Samantha’s husband, Andrew, has also become close with Jackie and Greg, leading to legendary double dates over the past seven years. Unfortunately, Samantha and Andrew are Patriots fans, which remains an ongoing rivalry between the couples — GO BILLS! Samantha and Andrew live in Niagara Falls with their daughter, Annabelle, whom Jackie and Greg absolutely adore.

Alexis and Jackie met shortly after graduating from UW and became good friends while living in Toronto. The two had many adventures and late nights out! Jackie enjoyed traveling to Alexis' family cottage for both relaxation weekends and party weekends with other friends. Being opposite personalities, these two never had a dull moment as both were adventurous and daring in their own ways, pushing each other to think outside the box when it came to their early business ideas. Alexis is a Chemical Engineer and Naturopath as well as a skin care entrepreneur, having founded EcoChicMovement more than 15 years ago. Alexis lives with her husband Mike and son Harvey in Ottawa.

Jeff is the groom’s younger brother, oldest friend, former roommate, and business partner — a résumé that alone explains why he’s standing as Best Man. Jeff and his wife Nicole and 15 month old daughter Ava live a short 3 minute walk around the corner from Greg and Jackie. Over the years, Greg and Jeff have shared just about everything: lifelong sports loyalties, countless hockey games, Buffalo Bills season tickets, travel adventures, daily work life, and even their first home together. Jeff has been present for every major milestone, offering unwavering loyalty, support, and friendship along the way. Choosing him as Best Man wasn’t a decision at all — it was simply inevitable.

Tanner is a long-time friend of the groom and has been part of the story since their early teenage years. Introduced through Jeff, their friendship grew through high school and summers during university often spent in Port Dalhousie, downtown St Catharines always finding their way back to Martindale and Grapeview af the end of the nights. Tanner was never shy to stop by for a few cold beverages at trailer or to jog home from Port on summer evenings. Tanner and his wife Allison are the proud parents of Blake and Rylee – with Rylee proudly serving as one of our flower girls. They both welcomed Jackie from day one and even joined them on their first ever trip together to the Bahamas – Tanner embodies the closeness, loyalty, and fun that defines a lifelong friendship.

Tim and Greg met in first year university where they were neighbours in Med-Syd residence and classmates in economics and business courses. It didn’t take long for Tim to swap solo flight simulator sessions for hosting NHL and Super Smash Bros tournaments in the dorm. Their friendship continued when they later shared a house on Blackfriars with four other friends during university. Known in some circles as “Commissioner Spalding” Tim is into his 20th season as commissioner of our fantasy hockey pool. Commissioner Spalding is the firm but fair glue guy that holds the fantasy hockey league together with true integrity. That same leadership hustle and entrepreneurial spirit has since carried over into building a successful construction company in Toronto. Tim and his lovely wife, Ivy, both lived on the same floor as Greg in first year university. As Greg's first friends to get married, Tim and Ivy have long been a wonderful example of partnership and commitment. Today, Tim is a devoted husband, father, and a steady, positive role model.

Andrew—also known as Stache—is making the long journey from Terrace, BC to celebrate with us, proving both his loyalty and his impressive tolerance for long flights. Greg and Andrew met during university and eventually became close friends (and roommates) at Blackfriars. A diehard Leafs and Bills fan, Andrew joined Greg and Jeff—now famously known as the “Recon Team”—for their first-ever Buffalo Bills game and tailgate, setting the stage for many more to come. After university, Andrew headed off to medical school and later found his way to Greg’s hometown of St. Catharines to train as a surgeon, conveniently resulting in many great nights out and more than a few pickup hockey hours squeezed into his busy schedule. Andrew and his wife Jacqueline quickly became close friends with Jackie and Greg, bonding over great food, good wine, and spirited (but intelligent) debate.

As the bride’s brother, Chris Lee has been part of this journey from the very beginning. Over time he’s become not just family, but a true friend to the groom as well. Known for his patience and natural way with kids, Chris spends his days teaching hockey skills and skating. Greg lets his Oilers associations slide BUT, unfortunately Chris is also a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. Chris has made many trips to St. Catharines to spend time with Greg’s brother and friends and watch from the opposite side of the rivalry. His support, good humor, and willingness to officially join “the other side” make it an honor to have him standing as a groomsman with us.

The bride’s youngest brother and now proudly one of the groom’s groomsmen. Andrew and his partner, Samantha, along with their dog, Bear, recently moved to Innisfil nearby a school that Samantha works as a Guidance Counsellor at - while Andrew works remotely with his sister, Jackie, in recruitment. Andrew unknowingly took some pressure off Greg the first time he met Jackie’s family as it was the first time all of his family was meeting Samantha. That said, Andrew still made sure to ask plenty of questions of his own, all rooted in his kindness, curiosity, and genuine love for his sister. Full of energy and known for his meticulous, scientific approach to just about everything, Andrew brings enthusiasm and thoughtfulness wherever he goes. We’re grateful for his friendship, support, and for having him stand with us on such an important day.

Aria is the daughter of David Mitchell-Li (Bridesman) and Adam Mitchell-Li. She is truly like family to Jackie and Greg. Together, they have traveled across the world — from exploring Italy to soaking up the sun in the Caribbean — and are looking forward to a special trip to China this summer to visit Aria’s grandparents. It has been an absolute joy for Jackie and Greg to watch Aria grow from a baby into the kind-hearted little girl she is today. They spend a great deal of time together, often staying with her fathers, David and Adam, in Waterloo whenever they are visiting the area.

Sophia is Greg’s niece and the daughter of his sister, Jenn Amadio, and Adam Mosa. Jackie and Greg truly cherish the time they spend with Sophia and her younger brother, James, especially during summer visits to the park, where countless giggles and adventures unfold. Greg enjoys taking Sophia for golf cart rides around the campground, playing soccer, running imaginative grocery store games and practicing her printing and spelling skills. Jackie especially loves Sophia’s zest for life and boundless curiosity — she has always been known for asking thoughtful questions well beyond her years. Some of their favorite moments include painting their fingernails in the trailer and singing songs together. Jackie and Greg are so excited to have Sophia join them as a flower girl on their special day!

Rylee is Greg’s goddaughter and the daughter of Tanner (groomsman) and Allison Goode. Greg and Jackie love spending time with Rylee and her little brother Blake—whether it’s celebrating holidays, cheering on the Bills, or sharing family dinners. Rylee recently set the bar very high by impressing Greg and Jackie with her dish-washing skills after their last meal at her house! There’s never a dull moment with this ball of energy, as there’s always a new song to sing or a game to play. Summer days are especially fun when Rylee visits her uncles at the campground, celebrating her birthday with her besties, and plenty of time at the water park. Jackie and Greg are so honoured to have her lead the way as one of their flower girls this April.
