Jacob and Alyssa's story began at Ohio State, where two biomedical engineering students kept finding themselves in the same places-8am statistics classes, their research lab (where Alyssa once taught Jacob how to suture), and even guarding each other on the basketball court. What started as friendship quickly became something more.
For weeks, Jacob (with some encouragement from his best friend, Div) tried to convince Alyssa to come to their parties. She always said no; until Jacob discovered one of her secrets: she never backs down from a challenge. One night he teased, "I'd invite you over, but I bet you won't make it." With a smile, Alyssa replied, "Bet. See you in 15." From that moment on, they were inseparable.
Their senior year was filled with laughter, adventures, and spending every day together. And even when Alyssa left for Florida to pursue her graduate degree in prosthetics, long distance only made their bond stronger. They cherished their Florida trips and the quiet certainty that what they had was rare and lasting.
On Alyssa's birthday, they got the call they'd both been praying for; he had been accepted to their dream medical school, right back where it all started: The Ohio State University. At the same time, Alyssa landed her own dream jobs in Columbus (yes, the cookie bakery and her prosthetics career), and together they cherished exploring Grandview while supporting each other through the hardest parts of their training.
Years later, Jacob and Alyssa brought everything full circle. On the same path they once walked to their research lab together, surrounded by friends and family, he got down on one knee. Alyssa said yes. And as time and change will surely show, their love will only continue to grow.

The Scioto Mile is a beautiful stretch along the river in downtown Columbus, perfect for a scenic walk, photos, or just relaxing by the water. With its fountains, parks, and skyline views, it’s one of our favorite spots in the city—and a lovely place to explore while you're here for the wedding!
Fox in the Snow is always buzzing—and for good reason. They're known for their incredible egg sandwich made with soft scrambled eggs, candied bacon, arugula, and a touch of Dijon on thick, toasted sourdough. Pair it with a coffee and soak in the cozy vibe—it’s worth the wait!
One of our favorite spots is a German-style brewery right next to the hotel—you can walk straight over! Jacob loves their refreshing Hefeweizen, and Alyssa never skips the giant warm pretzel. They’ve got plenty of tasty German food and drinks to try—prost!
