Jackie & Dan met in February of 2018 on a popular dating app, Tinder. Initially, they connected over their love of cooking and Mexican food, which continues to grow today. The first date was at Black Coffee Waffle Bar in St. Paul. Throughout the years, they have loved doing a few main things together: cooking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants. They became engaged in January 2024, right before a trip to Japan (love).
The biggest surprise happened just before 2025, when they decided to get married in a small, intimate setting in California. They were married on 12/26/24 in Jackie’s childhood church, where her parents were also married.
That won’t stop them from moving forward with this wedding in September – they are beyond excited to celebrate their love with friends and family for a wonderful cabin-themed weekend in the woods!
We realize our idea is a bit non-traditional but it aims to capture the things we love most. Celebrating in the outdoors, having plenty of good food around, and dressing classy AF in the middle of nowhere (sort-of) is just how we want to get down. Outside of the wedding day, expect this to be a laid-back time. Comfy clothing, a few drinks, and countless laughs should be the expectation!
