When should I book my flights for?
We suggest arriving on Friday afternoon (7/11/25) and leaving Sunday afternoon or evening (7/13/25). If you have some extra time to stay and explore, check out our Things to Do page for some suggestions!
Do I need to rent a car?
A: No! Unless you want to do some exploring beyond wedding weekend activities. The airport is an easy Uber or Lyft from downtown Salt Lake City, or there is a light rail that runs from the airport to various stops in downtown Salt Lake City. We have arranged for two venue shuttle buses to drive our guests to the venue that are now scheduled to leave from the Grand America Hotel at 4:30 PM on Saturday July 12, 2025 and return to the hotel in the evening after the reception. We highly highly recommend taking the shuttle bus to and from the venue, as parking space is limited and wait times for car service might be lengthy in the canyon.
Where should I stay?
A: We recommend staying at either of the following two hotels: The Little America or the Grand America Hotel. The shuttle to the venue will be leaving from and returning to the Grand America Hotel, which is also where Phillip and Jacqui will be staying for the weekend. The Little America hotel is right across the street, and is the more budget friendly option. Option 1: The Little America Hotel (https://saltlake.littleamerica.com) Option 2: The Grand America Hotel: (https://www.grandamerica.com) We understand that there are a wide variety of budgets amongst our guests, and so if you would like to book at any other hotel or Airbnb, downtown Salt Lake City is pretty small and would be close enough to the Grand America to either walk, train, or cab over to catch the shuttle to the venue. Shuttle service will be provided by Red Star from the Grand America Hotel to the venue and back at the end of the evening. Please keep in mind that the venue is in a canyon, and wait times for car services such as uber and lyft could be significant, so we highly recommend taking the shuttle from the venue back down to the city.
