This extinct volcano makes a great hike for beginners, but is also accessible via car. You can view the Oregon Cascade Mountains from the top on a sunny day.

Tucked away in the Cascade Mountains, Elk Lake is the perfect getaway from the city. The Elk Lake Resort is a great place to get lunch and drinks while enjoying swimming, kayaking and more.

This amphitheater has concerts pretty much every weekend of the summer. As the date gets nearer, check their website to see who is playing. We have seen all kinds of shows from Foreigner, Kenny Chesney, Sublime, Jon Pardi and more at this venue.

This breakfast restaurant in downtown Bend serves eccentric French-style food. We recommend getting here early as it can get crowded on the weekends.

For those of you who don't know, another big part of Bend culture is grabbing quick food and drinks at food truck lots. Podski is the most famous food truck lot and has a culturally diverse variety of food trucks. Additionally, across the street is the Box Factory, which contains other popular places such as Immersion Brewing, AVID Cider, a handful of other bars, all within easy walking distance of each other.

Awesome views of the Deschutes River (that we will be floating on Sunday)! Traditional Belgian styled beers and food. Craft beer aficionados should try their 8 beer flight!

Located downtown, grab a pint and enjoy it on the edge of the Deschutes River. This brewery is a staple of downtown Bend and is in walking distance from tons of bars, boutique shops and restaurants.

Jake's favorite brewery in the area! This brewery is kitty-corner to 10 Barrel Brewing and Sunriver Brewing, making the Bendite tradition of brewery hopping safe and easy! Great food truck options can be found throughout this whole neighborhood.

This world famous rock climbing State Park has amazing views at the peak. Arrive early in the morning to beat the crowd, and make sure to bring 5$ cash for parking. Smith Rock is about a 10 minute drive North of Redmond. Attempt the Misery Ridge trail if you consider yourself an avid hiker!

This casual State Park not only consists of a gorgeous waterfall, but also has a perfect area for picnics, leisurely floating in the Deschutes River and watching local wildlife. We loved bringing Gunnar here in the summertime.

Located in Redmond, Juniper Golf Course is a laid back course that is within a short drive to downtown. Make sure to reserve your T-Time in advance!

This music venue has a beer garage and tons of food trucks. Musicians such as Craig Morgan, Everclear, Buckcherry, the Steeldrivers and more have played here. If you want to see a concert in Redmond, this is the place to go! Check their website for updated shows.

In between City Hall and downtown lies Junction Coffee. This is one of our go-to's for coffee any day of the week. Its location is perfect for grabbing an espresso and walking around the city park as well as the downtown strip.

One of our most favorite Mexican restaurants in town, this upscale atmosphere has a huge variety of Mexican, Italian and American cuisine with a full bar.

Rustic American cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. This place is a hidden gem in Redmond (it is one of our favorites!) Recently featured on the "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" TV show. Don't let the unassuming interior fool you - this is one of the best places in town!

Wild Ride has a solid selection of craft beer and is located in downtown Redmond. They typically have 4-5 food trucks (a huge Oregonian tradition) and is the most popular place for a refreshment in town any day of the week.

This place is a locals favorite and we would argue that they have the best sandwiches in town! Located about a 3 minute drive North of downtown.
