How we fell in love...

James and Kasey met in Saint Augustine Florida while attending Flagler College in 2013. While Kasey loves to tease that James doesn’t remember the first time they laid eyes on each other, which was shortly after moving into the same dorm suite as her brother, Dan, things worked out just fine. James moved into the infamous Cedar apartments in downtown Saint Augustine. The front door at Cedar 4 was always open and there was always someone around to start the party. Kasey, while living beachside, was frequently downtown for nights out with their close and overlapping circle of friends. After some time of getting to know each other and becoming close friends, James and Kasey realised it was more than just friendship that they saw in each other. Shortly after this realisation, James was set to depart Saint Augustine and head back to the UK to make a decision on continuing to live in the US or staying home in the UK. Kasey went back to Cape May for winter break at home. Over that winter break, they managed to stay in embarrassingly close contact.&nbsp; By the end of winter break, Kasey and James had made the decision that regardless of distance, neither was interested in seeing anyone else. They were all in! Shortly after Kasey returned to Saint Augustine in early 2015 for her spring semester, James booked flights to visit and trial at a few different schools. After trialling and earning a football (soccer*) scholarship to Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, James was ready to move back to Florida. He’d only be an hour up the road from Kasey. That distance felt like it was down the road compared to how far apart they’d been and they were both delighted. They continued to drive back and forth between Saint Augustine and Daytona Beach while they continued their education. It felt too easy to work, be a student, enjoy sunny Florida and build really strong foundations for friendship and love. After Kasey graduated in the spring of 2016 with James and her family by her side. She soon after moved back to Cape May to accept a job and start working. James continued to work hard and take on extra classes through the summer to graduate as soon as possible so they could be back together again. Through the support of their parents, Dan, Joanne, Mary and Garry,&nbsp;and their families James and Kasey managed to see each other on a regular basis regardless of distance again. They always said that as long as they had a date on the calendar for their next visit, they both felt excited and eager to be back together again. Once James graduated Embry Riddle in May 2017 with his family all by his side, James and Kasey both moved to upstate New York to see if they could make things work while staying in America. They learned soon after this that visas would be their next big hurdle to staying together in the same country. James and Kasey continued to apply for different job roles in both the UK and US. They agreed whatever offers came along would dictate what country they would try for, and sure enough a great opportunity presented itself to James. His US visa would soon run out and he headed back to the UK. Kasey would then begin the process of applying to live in the UK. The details of Kasey’s visa story are one for another day, but essentially it kept them apart for way longer than anticipated and was their biggest trial as partners yet. But thanks to their resilience, love and incredibly supportive parents, families and friends, Kasey was approved to move to the UK in April 2019. Having settled into life in the UK, James and Kasey were living and working in central London in their first home as a couple. It was beautiful, very old, always freezing and wildly overpriced. But they made for great memories nonetheless. Things then took an unexpected turn when the pandemic hit. James and Kasey headed back out to sunny Kent where they were fortunate enough to spend time with James’ family and get out of the city. In November 2020, on Thanksgiving Day, Kasey and James purchased their first home together. At this point, James and Kasey had settled in comfortably as a team living and working from home. They are essentially inseparable at this point. Between these milestones, James and Kasey are very frequently up in Scotland for Celtic matches (HH) and to see friends. Flying to Florida to spend the Christmas holidays with Kasey’s family. Exploring new countries in Europe. They had built a beautiful love-filled life! Things only got more fun after they added a new family member, Ange, to the mix in the summer of 2022. Their silly, sassy, stubborn puppy. At this point in their relationship it seemed like there was nothing left to do but get a ring, pop the question and bring together the most special people in their lives to celebrate their wedding!

After spending months thoughtfully searching high and low in the fall of 2022, James finally found Kasey’s perfect ring. It was as special as she was and he was determined to bring her home to Florida for Christmas as his Fiance. The ring was only half the battle as he then had to work out how he was going to ask her! He called in the help of all of our family. Kasey’s family to help find photographs of her whole childhood. James’ family to help with the details of how he would ask and most importantly, the surprise!&nbsp; Kasey received a text one day from Mary asking if she was free for a girl's weekend in Brighton. Seeing as Sylvia, Mary, Molly and Kasey had gone away for girls' trips before, this wasn’t a shock and sounded lovely before leaving for Christmas. Molly had been texting pictures of the outfits she’d wear. Mary had made sure Sylvia knew to call while making the drive down to Brighton to say she was in their Airbnb. Mary had to drop Kasey off with the bags at the door and "park around the corner." Mary, staying shockingly calm, cool and collected, dropped her out front and reassured her that Sylvia would be right down to open the door. You can only imagine Kasey’s surprise when James, who was meant to be at football and looking after Ange for the weekend, opened the door. After an initially confusing hello and questions on what was happening, James hauled the bags in the door and told Kasey to head upstairs. After climbing up what felt like a lighthouse, hearts racing, James and Kasey popped up into an enclosed glass room overlooking the sea at sunset. Kasey instantly smelled her favourite candles and was surrounded by flowers, champagne and photos of her whole life. James grabbed her hands, said some beautiful things, and got down on one knee. And the rest is history! They made calls shortly after and all of their family had been in on it and were excited to finally get to celebrate. They ended the evening with an incredible dinner where they had a 10-course menu with 10 different wine pairings. Kasey hiccuped the whole way home not able to take her eyes off her incredible ring and even more incredible fiance.

When James and Kasey found North Cadbury Court it was an instant no-brainer that this was the place to bring together all of the most special people in their lives for an incredible weekend. The house will be exclusively ours for the whole weekend and we want our guests all to feel at home while they're staying. The amenities on the property include a pool, hot tub, lawn games, tennis courts, a gym, a three-hole golf course, a snooker table, and a pond with peddle boats and paddle boards. As we have the house to ourselves we encourage you to explore. Help yourself to whatever food and drinks are in the kitchen. Treat it as your own little holiday, but with an amazing party smack in the middle. We'll be coordinating room bookings to fit as many guests as we can accommodate in the main house and in the carriage house. You'll find your room assignment when you arrive, but you can be assured that there are no bad rooms in this home. Get comfortable and be ready to live your dreamiest English countryside fantasy. Getting to North Cadbury Court

By Train...

If you are in London and plan on taking the train to the venue, you can check out train times <a href="https://www.gwr.com/tickets/#/3087/5703/2023-04-28/D17:30/N/N/1/0/0/1/1/N/N/N" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">on the GWR website</a>. We recommend travelling from London Paddington to&nbsp;Castle Cary&nbsp;(1 hr 39 mins journey) – 5 miles from the station to the venue. On Friday afternoon, we'll have a few groomsmen and friends making trips to the station and back to the venue to ferry people to North Cadbury. Just let us know your train's arrival time. Alternatively, there are lots of local cabs below that we recommend booking in advance.

By Car...

Driving from London directionUse the A303 and take the exit signed North Cadbury/Sutton Montis/Corton Denham – about 5 miles after Wincanton (Sat Navs will tell you to turn off at an earlier junction – don’t!) Follow signs to North Cadbury and turn right into Woolston Road as you enter the village. North Cadbury Court is on your right after 200 yards.

For anyone that isn't staying at North Cadbury Court, the Wincanton Travelodge is just 10 minutes by car from North Cadbury Court and has very comfy accommodations for the weekend. For anyone staying here, we recommend booking your taxi in advance as Uber and last-minute cabs are not reliable transport options. James and Kasey appreciate that a lot of our guests are travelling from all over to be present at their big day. London

This is a hotel James, Kasey, family and friends have all stayed at. Motel one is clean, reasonably priced for central London and is very accessible by cabs and public transportation. It is in a great location just steps from Tower Bridge, The Shard, and The Tower of London. It is very central to explore other neighbourhoods in London.

A popular attraction with some of London's best views! Head to the top of the shard and get a glass of bubbly while you take in the view. The Shard sits right on top of London Bridge Train Station.

A Royal palace, a fort and an infamous prison, the Tower of London is chock full of history and worth exploring.

Take the tube over to this famously colourful London neighbourhood. Along Portobello Road you'll find frequent markets for food, antiques and fashion.

Regents Park is stunning and covered in beautifully manicured gardens. Pack a picnic and head over to (hopefully) soak up some sunshine. Regents Park is also where Kasey stayed during her London study abroad. There is also a wonderful outdoor theatre if you book tickets in advance.

London's Broadway! If you're in the mood for theatre we recommend grabbing tickets for your favourite show and exploring some of London's beautiful theatres.

West End Shows

Apart from London, there are really fun places to visit and stay in the southern part of the UK. Places like Brighton, Bath, and Bristol are all well-known for welcoming tourists. We hope you enjoy your time getting to come to the UK!

Friday - September 6th

Welcome! We are excited to welcome guests staying on the venue property at the house with us between 4-5pm.

Pizza, pints and prosecco in front of the house. We want to welcome all our guests to kick off the weekend together. Let's get this party started!

Saturday - September 7th

Breakfast is served! For guests staying in the big house, we'll have a continental spread in the Morning Room. Coach House guests will have a continental breakfast laid out for them.

It's time for the big show! All guests should make their way to the back of North Cadbury Court to take their seats for our ceremony.

1:30pm - Ceremony time! We are ready to tie the knot with our most special people surrounding us.

Cheers to being husband and wife! Once the confetti is tossed and the happy tears are dry, we'll have a cocktail hour just a few steps away from our ceremony. We'll also be stealing our bridal party and family for a few quick photos.

Time for a delicious meal, a few speeches and, let's be honest, a few more drinks.

The bar is open! While the ballroom is cleared for us to dance the night away, come and enjoy a few craft cocktails in the North Hall.

Nothing left to do but kick off our shoes and make it a night to remember back in the Ballroom.

Midnight

DJ D.J. is hitting the decks (the aux chord) for an afterparty for anyone still standing downstairs in the cellar.

Sunday - September 8th

9 - 11am

Wake up slow, and when you're ready, head down to the Morning Room for a continental breakfast spread. Guests in the Coach Houses will also receive a continental breakfast spread in their living area.

11am

Make use of everything this property has to offer! Take a dip in the pool, test the rooftop golf, play a bit of grass court tennis, or just relax and nurse your hangover. Either way, this is some well-earned 'you time.'

2:30pm

Lakeside BBQ and lawn games - Guests should make their way down to the lake at the back of the house for some tasty BBQ food. And if you're up for it, have your swimsuits ready in case you feel like hopping on a paddle board, a peddle boat or a dip in the water.

BINGO! *cue game show music* Come on down!! Live from North Cadbury Court's Ballroom, join your hosts Dan and Joanne for a highly competitive game of Bingo. Prizes, snacks and good vibes for one last night of fun to wind down the weekend.

Monday - September 9th

8-10am

One last breakfast spread will be laid out for guests in the big house in the Morning Room. Coach House guests will also have breakfast laid out in their living area.

12PM

Say it ain't so! Time to say goodbye and get ready to leave the estate. We can't thank our guests enough for travelling from far and wide to join us for this incredible weekend.
