As eager new undergrads on a crisp fall evening sometime in September 2017, Jasmine and I met on the turf of Tindall field, not knowing that it would be the last time we’d be spotted there together for the remainder of our six year tenure at Queen’s (we aren’t exactly athletes). Over countless bubble tea dates and haggard Facetime calls, Jasmine has truly brightened my life like no one else. Jasmine is the most genuine, compassionate, and loving person I have the privilege of knowing and it has been an absolute joy watching her find her other half in Rickey. I love both of them so dearly and am so grateful for this opportunity to celebrate their love and wish them well into this next chapter of their lives!

Richard and I were first acquainted on a warm day in July while we both were sentenced to Saint-Jean to learn French. While French was ostensibly learned, far more important things were happening as break room tests of might turned into many nights of drinking beers in the parking lot. From there no parking lot was safe from the poverty bin and some fellas having a good time. Richard and I continued to have a blast in our wilder days being hunted through the forests of Oka to chugging ketchup in a parking lot, and continue now in our (much needed) domestications, wandering around PEI. Jasmine and Rickey are the couple you always want to be, and it was a treat watching their love grow and strengthen through the years. Cheers

Marielle met the wonderful Jasmine on their very first day of medical school in 2019, after being placed in the same small group.  Little did she know, that the “girl from Tappen” would become one of her closest friends during medical school and beyond.  Jasmine’s incredible intellect, unbelievable organizational skills, and impeccable sense of style were immediately obvious.  As Marielle got to know her better, her sense of awe grew as more of the gleaming jewel of Jasmine’s heart and character was revealed — her gentle, kind nature, her empathetic spirit, and the pure scintillating luminescence of her laugh. Jasmine is one of the most incredibly multi-talented people Marielle has ever met, from her beautiful singing voice, her tireless drive to meet and exceed every expectation, and the diamond-hard core of sheer goodness she possesses.  The first time Marielle saw Jasmine and Rickey together, it was obvious how perfectly they complemented each other, and their love is as enduring as it is inspiring and beautiful to behold.

Rickey and I met in the summer of 2022 on a course. Over the time of the course I had the pleasure of working with Rickey countless times and getting to know him as a person. Since then, our common pursuits in climbing and love for magic has brought us further together. I’m beyond thrilled to be a part of this celebration to start off everything that the future holds for Jasmine and Rickey.

Grace and Jas met in their first-year of medical school, where Jasmine's natural warmth, bubbly personality, and capacity to laugh effortlessly at Grace's not-always-so-funny jokes made Grace feel instantly at home. Over the next 6-years, through weddings and engagement parties and long-distance calls spanning the Canada-UK and Toronto-Victoria borders, their friendship has remained unbreakable despite life's changing seasons. Grace knows that she can always count on Jasmine's fierce & loyal friendship to be her home away from home. Grace could not be more excited to celebrate Jasmine and Rickey's love in the beautiful backdrop of whimsical Jasper!

I heard of Rickey, I knew of Rickey, but it wasn't until after we were at school together when I actually met the guy. I was in a new part of the country still getting my bearings when we both happened to put together on a course. In true Rickey fashion, he was quick to start up a conversation with a stranger, or at least someone he wasn't terribly familiar with. Well, we've been talking since and, to my benefit, I haven't been able to escape him. Since then, I've also been lucky enough to meet and become aquainted with Jasmine, and I couldn't be more excited for them and grateful to be a part of this wedding and celebration.
