How do I book my stay at Lakedale?
*Do not book accommodations through Lakedale on your own if you are planning on staying on-site.
1. Invitations went out April 27th and you will give your formal RSVP.
2. Jasmyne will connect with you to calibrate with you on the accommodations. She is currently assigning the stays on her own on the backend. Let her know if you will not be staying on site.
3. Sit tight once your accommodation is assigned and confirmed with you by Jasmyne upon your RSVP.
4. Pay Lakedale for your stay upon arrival in August.
Where’s your registry?
Since we have lived together for over 3 years already, we would love your gift to us to be an experience we can share on our honeymoon! Check out our registry here: https://www.travelersjoy.com/brandonlovesjasmyne
Are kids allowed?
Yes! All the babies and kiddos in our life mean the world to us.
What’s the dress code?
For the ceremony and reception, we’d love for our guests to dress in cocktail attire inspired by the natural colors of San Juan Island - think deep greens, muted mauves, warm taupes, creams, and other earthy neutrals. Elegant silhouettes in nature-inspired tones will make the ceremony feel like a beautiful woodland celebration.
Throughout the rest of the weekend, the dress code is casual - it’s summer camp after all! Make sure you bring layers, but solid outfits for warm weather. It’s Washington, so be prepared for quick weather changes.
I can’t make it to the wedding weekend. Is there another way to celebrate you two?
First of all, if there is any way we can help you come to San Juan Island and celebrate with us, please let us know. Otherwise, there are lots of other ways to have a blast with the newlyweds! Come to Jasmyne’s bridal shower in WA on May 31st or VA on April 25th. You could also join in on the foosball tournament (or just hang out) in VA on June 20th. Don’t forget about the VA reception happening on September 12th after the honeymoon! We will also be celebrating in Texas on November 21st. Just let the couple know if you’d rather (or additionally!) attend one or several of these other events.
Can we stay somewhere else on the island?
You absolutely can, but we’re really hoping everyone will stay at Lakedale with us if possible. The whole magic of this weekend is the cozy summer-camp feeling — having everyone in one place so we can wander between cabins, hang out by the lake, linger over s’mores, and slip into little impromptu moments together throughout the days and evenings. If cost is the thing getting in the way, please reach out to us. We want you there with us, not worrying about logistics or price. That being said, there are fantastic accommodations around the island, as well! We just recommend booking well in advance to secure a spot.
What’s the food situation?
A formal dinner and dessert will be served on ceremony day. On all the other days, you are welcome to get breakfast and lunch from anywhere on the island or Lakedale's general store (general store description below). After checking in, if your accommodation has a kitchen, visit Kings Market near the ferry for groceries for the weekend!
We'll have a food truck on site Friday for you to buy some dinner, as well as brunch for Sunday.
If you would like to explore the PNW cuisine around the island (as you should!), you can do that at any time.
Can we bring animals?
Ugh we wish! No animals, sorry!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors! It should be beautiful and sunny for our big day, but always come prepared for anything. We will too, so don’t worry!
I have dietary restrictions. What should I do?
If you have strong food aversions, intolerances, or allergies, please indicate that in the appropriate area while you RSVP on this site.
Who can I reach out to with questions?
Feel free to reach out to Jasmyne and Brandon with questions!
Can I just come for the ceremony & reception?
Of course! We know summer is busy and everyone’s situation is different. If you’re able to come to just the ceremony, please just let us know and we’ll be happy to have you. Similarly, if you can only come for certain days, please let us know that too in your RSVP.
Are we getting a t-shirt?
Yes! You will be receiving a Camp Morris t-shirt upon your arrival to Lakedale. It will make for the cutest photo if you wear it on Sunday for our sendoff.
