Our Wedding

We met in Seattle in 2020, where what started as a simple quarantine swipe on a dating app, turned into the kind of connection that just made sense. Even when it’s just through video calls from afar, we grow together through it all. A few years (and a lot of nacho competitions) later, we packed up and moved across the country to Virginia. Since then, we’ve bought a house, adopted two mischievous cats, and built a life that feels very “us.”  We’re best friends first, partners always, and absolutely crazy in love. Our favorite things include taking road trips with no real plan, making tailgate fried rice at Commanders football games, and spending far too many hours playing video games where all we do is farm (who knew virtual crops could be so serious?).  Through it all, we’ve learned that the best adventures are the ones we share - and we can’t wait for this next one: getting married!

Jasmyne and Taylor have been friends since middle school. They're those kinds of friends that can go years without seeing each other and then still cry laughing about everything. Jasmyne is lucky to have Taylor by her side.

Sara’s laugh alone is enough to bring Jasmyne back down to earth. She’s the kind of friend that keeps it real and stands by you through anything. We’re so lucky to have her.

Despite what it looks like, Shantelle is not Jasmyne’s sister (though sometimes it feels like it)! Shantelle’s smile and light radiates from her all the time, so it’s a no-brainer to have her around for the big day.

Erby and Brandon have been best friends since they were small. You can always count on Erby to be there when you need him, and Brandon just couldn’t do the day without him.

No matter where they are in the world, Brandon and Terence travel any distance to see each other. Terence’s sense of humor and unshakeable character give our groom a sigh of relief.

Pat has had Brandon’s back since college when they were seeing who had the bigger muscles. Pat’s positivity and good energy are going to bring so much light to our day!

Believe it or not - Brandon and Jason work very tight-knit on the same tugboat for half the year…and they’re still best friends! Jason’s empathy and endless queue of stories are exactly what this weekend needs.

What Guys Need to Know About Dress Codes

For the ceremony and reception, we’d love for our guests to dress in cocktail attire inspired by the natural colors of San Juan Island - think deep greens, muted mauves, warm taupes, creams, and other earthy neutrals. Elegant silhouettes in nature-inspired tones will make the ceremony feel like a beautiful woodland celebration.Throughout the rest of the weekend, the dress code is casual - it’s summer camp after all! Make sure you bring layers, but solid outfits for warm weather. It’s Washington, so be prepared for quick weather changes.When packing shoes, keep in ming the trail and grass terrain of Lakedale.
