On Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd we will be leading some activities for our guests! Check out the spreadsheet linked below for a list of activities, meeting place & times, and equipment needed!
We have easy, moderate, and difficult activities -- walks in town, hiking, a trip to the back country, and exploring on Mount Crested Butte! These activities are all optional, but will give you some fun things to do on your trip here :)
There is a FREE bus that runs from the Mountain Base Area (where all the hotels are) to town. We recommend utilizing this option for town activities if you don't want to stress about parking.
If you want to explore on your own, check out our guide to CB below.
Travel CB is an amazing resource for all things Crested Butte. Their website is here: https://travelcrestedbutte.com/
Below are our personal favorites and recommendations. Visit the Travel CB website above for more specific information or reach out and we'll be happy to be your personal travel guides for your visit :)
The Mountain Express is the FREE bus shuttle that runs all over town and to & from the Base Area on the mountain. Buses run every 20 minutes from 7:35AM to Midnight.
Bus schedule & route can be found here: https://www.mtnexp.org/schedules-routes/summer/
Hiking: Long Lake, Lower Loop, Snodgrass Trail
Scenic walks: Woods walk, Recreation path
Mountain biking trails (non-lift served): Trail 401, Lower Loop, Lupine Trail, Snodgrass Trail
Casual biking: Recreation path or around town
Art Galleries & Museums: Paragon Art Gallery, Crested Butte Museum

Shopping: Elk Avenue (the main street in town) is lined with shops of all sorts. We recommend hitting up the T-Shirt shop right next to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for Crested Butte specific souvenirs.
These activities require a lift ticket. Lift tickets are available for purchase at the main ticketing office (the Adventure Center) at the Base Area. Mention Huvard/Russo wedding or our group code (SCBHRW24) when purchasing for a group rate.

Hiking: Mt. Crested Butte Summit (you take the Silver Queen lift up to the trail head)
Scenic chair lift ride: Red Lady chair (shorter ride) or Silver Queen chair (longer ride). Once you reach the top of the lift, you can access on-mountain trails and explore around.
Downhill mountain biking (lift served): The Crested Butte Bike Park is AWESOME. You use the Red Lady lift to access downhill trails. Bikes, helmets, and protective gear are available for rent at many shops right at the Base Area. We recommend the shop within the Elevation Hotel for rentals. Our favorite runs: Teaser & Luge. Levi will be happy to take anyone up for a downhill day!
Adventure Park (good for kids!): Bungee jump trampoline, rock climbing wall, mining for gem stones
Other on mountain activities: Archery & Disc Golf
Coffee & Tea: Camp 4 Coffee (you're going to want to buy some bags to bring home with you, it's amazing!), Rumors Coffee & Tea House (connected to the Townie Book Store, a favorite Huvard activity - coffee & book perusing)
Breakfast: McGill’s, Paradise Cafe (both are traditional style breakfast spots, can't go wrong with either choice)
Lunch: Pita's in Paradise, Frank's Deli, Treasury Liquors & Deli (near the Base Area), Secret Stash Pizza, Teocali Tamali (like Chipotle), Butte 66 (at Base Area, amazing view of the mountain on their deck), CB Burger Co (at Base Area)
Dinner: Ryce (Asian fusion), Slogar (family style fried chicken), Secret Stash Pizza, Marchitelli's (Italian), Izakaya (Sushi), Bonez (Mexican), The Hideout (American), Jose at Elevation (Mexican, at the Base Area), Iron Horse Tap (A HIDDEN GEM FOR PIZZA! At the Base Area)
