Jenny (from Columbus , OH) and Joey (from Wheeling, WV) met at a party at West Virginia University in September 2011 and started dating soon after.

After dating long distance through the remainder of undergraduate, they continued to do so while Joey moved to Cincinnati for work and Jenny finished her collegiate swimming career and Physical Therapy doctorate in Pennsylvania.

At long last, in 2016 Jenny landed a clinical rotation in the Queen City and the two were finally able to live in the same zip code. Following Jenny’s graduation, they completed a month long backpacking trip through Europe. And when they returned, Jenny moved to Cincinnati full time.

With a love founded on making the effort and literally going the extra mile for one another, Jenny and Joey’s relationship has aged like fine wine - for 12 years to be exact. Joey proposed to Jenny on a family trip to Germany in October 2022. On the night of their dating anniversary, they enjoyed a private dinner at one of Munich’s best restaurants. Joey popped the question on the walk back to the train station. A perfect fall night in Bavaria.

With their shared love of traveling, movies, and animals (especially dogs), and a mutual hatred of country music, Jenny and Joey are thrilled to begin their life as a married couple together!
