It was the fall of 2010 when Colin and Jenny&nbsp;both flew to Tunis, Tunisia for the MAIS&nbsp;(Mediterranean Association of International Schools)&nbsp;annual conference. Jenny&nbsp;was attending as a teacher and Colin was working in international sales and marketing. Jenny&nbsp;was living in Morocco at the time and Colin was living in France. Colin's vendor table was set up near the hotel elevators at the conference so Jenny had to pass by often. After signing up for Colin's raffle and company mailing list, they began chatting and soon hit it off.&nbsp;Their first date did not happen until December, when Jenny flew to France for a vacation. She spent a couple of days visiting Colin and their first date took place in Chamonix, where they spent time at the top of Mont Blanc.For the next few years, Colin and Jenny became close friends and eventually started dating. Jenny had moved to Singapore so they endured a very long-distance relationship for a couple of years. Colin loved to visit Singapore as Jenny lived in a beautiful condo complex with several pools. :) After traveling to many countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Switzerland and Scotland together, they decided to both relocate so they could live in the same country. They chose Germany, which was a fantastic experience for both of them. A couple years later, they moved to Sudan and are now living in Zagreb, Croatia.

The annual EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association)&nbsp;AirVenture takes place in Oshkosh each year. This year, it will be held from&nbsp;July 23-29. It is an impressive event and one to consider if you have a bit of extra time to spend!

If you are into cars, you may want to consider attending the Iola car show from July 12th-14th. Just be sure to book your rooms early as it is a major event in the area.

A trip to Wisconsin is not complete without a visit to the legendary Lambeau Field!&nbsp;You can take a stadium tour and then enjoy brats and cheese curds for lunch or dinner. :)

**Be sure to book accommodations early!The summer months are very busy in the Waupaca area. It is home to the Chain of Lakes, which is a popular tourist destination. If you are traveling for the wedding, please consider booking accommodations and transportation early.&nbsp;

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn for Thursday and Friday evenings. You may also want to consider the Ramada (which is within walking distance, but it's a good walk), or the Econo Lodge just down the road. Stevens Point is about a 20 minute drive away, and has many hotels.&nbsp;Room blocks are as follows:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Comfort Inn and Suites (attached to wedding reception venue):&nbsp;approximately $145 per night&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ramada Inn:&nbsp;approximately $125 per night&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Econo Lodge:&nbsp;approximately $90 per night**When booking rooms, please state you are attending the Lathrop/Mitchell Wedding. Some&nbsp;of the hotels are already sold out so you will need to book under our room block.

There is a beautiful state park nearby called Hartman Creek State Park. They have a large campground which would be a fun option for those of you who want to make a vacation out of it.&nbsp;

The closest airport to Waupaca is Appleton International Airport (about a 40 minute drive). Other options would be Green Bay and Milwaukee which are both under 2 hours away.&nbsp;Chicago is about a 3.5 hour drive from Waupaca.&nbsp;

To Bring

July in Wisconsin is hot and humid. The wedding will take place outside so you may want to consider an umbrella in case it rains.&nbsp;Wisconsinites jokingly claim the state bird of Wisconsin is the mosquito. Be sure to bring bug spray or other solutions for keeping the pesky critters away. Sunscreen is also a must.&nbsp;There are many places in the area to swim, bike, hike or picnic. If you are staying for more than a day or two, bring some outdoor gear. We hope to plan on doing some boating, golfing and other excursions.&nbsp;
