We recommend taking a carriage tour of the island while you're here. Carriage tours are $41/person and take roughly 2 hours. It's a great way to get to see the island before the wedding!

There are tons of cute shops located on Main Street. You can get to Main Street from the Grand by foot, bike, or by carriage taxi. Carriage taxis are CASH ONLY and cost between $10-$12 one way.

Mackinac is known for its fudge! We highly recommend grabbing 1/2 pound (or more) to take back home with you and enjoy after leaving the island. Murdick's Fudge is our personal favorite, but there are many fudge companies with a plethora of stores on Main St.

The Grand Hotel has many activities every day! If you are staying at the hotel, they will give you a list of activities for every day that you're staying there. Activities include swimming, afternoon tea, golf, spa treatments, and many more.

If you're driving up from DTW to the ferry docks, make sure to stop at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland and Frankenmuth, MI. A Bavarian oasis located in Michigan, stop for some fried chicken and baked goods after shopping at the world's largest Christmas ornament shop!
