I've never been to Disney before! What do I do?

Start by looking through our "Help! I've never been to Disney before!" tab where you will find an overview of a lot of the basics. If you are unable to find the answers you are looking for there or online, you can reach out to Byron or Jessica and we will help to try and find the information for you.

I don't understand the 4:00 a.m. bus pickup

In order to attend our wedding, Disney requires all guests to be on chartered transportation in order to enter the park in the morning. You must be on one of these busses or you will not be allowed entrance into the wedding.

The busses will be picking up at Animal Kingdom Lodge and at Pop Century Resort. These will be the ONLY pickup locations. If you are staying at one of these hotels, we will assign you to the corresponding bus. If you are not staying at either hotel, we will assign you which hotel you are to go to in the morning.

The busses will then bring you to Animal Kingdom park (where the ceremony is at). You will be required to go through a security screening.

After the ceremony, you will get back on the busses and be brought to the reception location at the Grand Floridian Resort.

After the reception finishes, all of Disney's transportation will be open and you will be able to take any of that in order to return to your hotel, wherever you parked, or head to a park for the afternoon!

I'd like to bring a card/gift along

As far as we've been made aware, cards will be allowed and not pose a security screening issue. Any gifts you bring to the wedding are subject to a security screening and they will likely require items to be unwrapped. We kindly ask that any physical gifts are given to us in person in Colorado or shipped directly to our house.

Where will Jessica and Byron be after the wedding?

We are planning to stay in Disney World for the week following the wedding and would love to see you! We request though that you do not plan your trip around us as we will not be able to make any guarantees of our schedule. Our plan is to update this website with which parks we are planning to be in each day and if we happen to match up with any of your plans would be more than happy to join you for a show, snack, or maybe a ride or two!

What do I do with my kids during the wedding?

We have two recommended babysitting services that can be used to watch your kids during the ceremony!

Kid's Nite Out is the company recommended by Disney's Fairytale Weddings. They will come directly to your hotel room.

The other option is through our Day of Coordinator, Cathryne. Pending availability, their services are $30 an hour for up to 3 children. They can provide services in your hotel room as well!

What's the dress code?

Dressy casual / Semi-Formal! Similar to business casual. Please refrain from wearing white or pale blue. For women, knee length or longer dresses, slacks/skirts with a nice top, pantsuits, etc are all good. For men, a dress shirt and slacks (tie optional) is standard. Disney designs are more than acceptable :)

How do I get back to my hotel/car after the wedding?

Disney transport will be fully operational by the time the wedding ends! If you are making your way back to a hotel, take the monorail to Magic Kingdom then take the corresponding bus back to your hotel. If you are trying to find the fastest path back, an Uber/Lyft will save you some time.

How do I go to a park after the wedding?

If you are still awake enough to go to a park after the reception, it's very easy to get there! Magic Kingdom is 5 minutes away on the monorail. EPCOT is about 20 minutes away also on the monorail. Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs each have a bus that you can get onto at the Grand Floridian bus stop.

My question isn’t answered!

Reach out to Jessica or Byron and we will do our best to answer your questions!
