Our story is one of years, distance, time zones, patience, sacrifice and an enduring commitment and love. Separated by 4,068 miles and a five-hour time zone difference our relationship has endured. We are excited to share our journey with you.

About the Bride: Originally from Guyana, South America, I have lived and work in London, United Kingdom for several years.

About the Groom: Originally from Jamaica, I have lived in U.S.A for many years. I call South Carolina home.

How we met: Believe it or not, old-fashioned match making still works! A brethren looking for a good girl and sista who was too pretty to be alone, should have a good guy in her life! Those were the thoughts of our good Samaritan - a mutual friend of ours, who lived in London and was visiting Jamaica, at the time. Photos of us flew across the Atlantic and seeing each others images instantly spurred our interest. Jewell with her captivating smile and Christopher with his handsome face was good enough reason to entertain a phone call. However, that first call took a while to occur since the brethren had to muster some courage to call me. The stars were aligned and when I did call coincidently it was her birthday, which I did not know. This turned the call into a celebratory one. The easy banter, humor, common interests, and love for family quickly set the foundation for more calls and an in-person meeting.

Through the Years: Telephone calls at 1AM UK time, WhatsApp and Video Calls on work breaks, long plane trips across the Atlantic Ocean, break-up and make-up, date nights and late nights, serenade by love songs, an attentive listening ear and a supportive and dependable presence have brought us to this moment. In true Christopher style, before the people he cared about most – his family, he popped the question to me in Bounty Hall, Jamaica. Much to Jewell’s surprise and my delight at her reaction - It was yes.

We are excited to celebrate our wedding day with you and can’t wait to explore the next chapter of our journey!
