Is there a dress code?
We invite you to join us in style! Tuxedos and gowns are encouraged, as well as suits and cocktail dresses. This is your chance to dress to impress! Please refrain from wearing jeans or denim, and avoid shades of white. For men, the minimum attire is slacks with a button-down shirt. We look forward to celebrating with our elegantly dressed friends and family!
Can I bring a date?
Due to our space, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one, you will note their name when you RSVP online. Thank you for understanding!
Are kids welcome?
If you are invited to bring your children, you will note their name(s) when you RSVP online. We appreciate your understanding.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
We ask that you please arrive as early as 11:30am (30-60 min early) to allow time to park if driving and be seated before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will be begin promptly at 12:30PM.
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Parking is free and plentiful at the Beamish Hall Hotel.
Is the event outside?
No, this is an all indoors wedding. We will have the outdoor grounds accessible for the cocktail hour, wedding breakfast, and disco if the weather permits. So please dress accordingly/bring a coat so you are comfortable (it can get cold even in the summer).
IS THERE A GIFT REGISTRY?
Yes! Your presence at our special day is a gift in and of itself, but if you feel inclined to give more then feel free to take a look at our registry portion of the website.
I’VE SEEN YOUR REGISTRY BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEND A MONETARY GIFT. HOW WILL Y’ALL BE COLLECTING MONETARY GIFTS?
Thank you so much! If you would like to send us a monetary gift, we have a few options. On our 'Registry' tab, we have linked a honeymoon fund through Venmo. We will have an area to collect cards at the venue. If you have questions, please reach out to us!

ARE WE ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES/VIDEO?
We are asking everyone to please not take photos or videos during our ceremony and that phones are silenced. Please take all the pics and vids at the reception and send us your fun moments!!

If you have dietary restrictions or allergies please indicate so when you RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN THE NEWCASTLE AREA IN JULY?
We highly recommend bringing a jacket. In Stanley, the summers are cool and partly cloudy. The warm season lasts for about 3 months, from June 13 to September 12, with an average daily high temperature above 61°F. The hottest month of the year in Stanley is July, with an average high of 65°F and low of 51°F.
HOW DOES A BRITISH WEDDING WORK?
So, the Brits do weddings a little bit different than in America. It's a full day affair so prepare yourself and pace yourself. The ceremony is usually in the morning to early afternoon times and then there is a cocktail hour. From there, guests go to the wedding breakfast (more like a dinner--big full meal). After the wedding breakfast, there will be a small break for the venue to reset the room. During this time, we will have some lawn activities if weather permits and the bar will be open. Guests who are staying at the venue are free to freshen up in their rooms. Then, we will have the disco after the room is reset (this is the party time). The disco includes dancing and bar food will be served.
