🌴While we have one planned Group Event each day of our UNwedding days, we also want to give you free time to explore what you would like to see in/around Miami - this is Your vacation, too!
⛱️We also have some plans outside of the RSVP events during the four days you'll be in Miami (i.e. meals, shows, even a Taylor Swift concert!) - and if you want to join us for anything outside of the group events, we'd definitely love to have your company! 💙
~Here are some cool places in Miami we suggest in your downtime (separated by area) ~
Ocean Drive is a colorful and iconic street in Miami Beach, lined with Art Deco hotels, restaurants and shops.
"We invite you to embark on a captivating journey through Miami Beach’s rich architectural heritage and vibrant community culture at the Art Deco Museum, thoughtfully designed and presented by the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL). Our museum proudly offers an educational and engaging experience that highlights the essence of Miami Beach’s past and present, infusing it with the city’s signature fun and glamor."
(Tracy maintains the best Cuban sandwich in Miami can be found here. Locals probably disagree, but our research is ongoing!)
"Discover a Beach Club like no other, where the party never stops, and the fun is always in full swing. Clevelander Beach Club is the core of Miami's party scene, where locals and visitors come together to experience the ultimate beachside party experience. Located centrally on Ocean Drive, our world-famous Beach Club features three bars and a large selection of food and drinks. Sip on refreshing cocktails and indulge in delicious beachside bites. Join the party, soak up the sun, and immerse yourself in Miami's hottest party playground."
"The Carl Fisher-designed former City Hall hosts Miami Beach’s European-inspired cinematheque. It’s also the home of the Miami Beach Film Society, which screens independent and experimental movies, along with film classics, to an audience of just 50. Like every good alternative art house, the cinematheque is about more than movies. Art exhibits hang on the walls, and there may be music, a mini-festival or talks. Now run by O Cinema, this beautiful space encompasses a theater, gallery, bookstore/library and cafe."
"Immerse yourself in Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach's outdoor cinematic experience with cozy deckchairs, movie-themed cocktails, and Miami's breathtaking skyline. Enjoy fun photo ops, games, and delectable snacks while watching cult classics, timeless favorites, and newer releases under the twinkling sky, creating unforgettable memories with friends and loved ones."
We have walked, jogged, and biked on the boardwalk and love it. We access it right across the street from our apartment (you've likely seen pictures of it in our morning run Instagram/Facebook stories ad nauseum) - AND the bicycles for rent are all along the boardwalk too
(see Transportation section for details on the Citi bikes)
"The Miami Beach Boardwalk now runs the FULL LENGTH of Miami Beach. It begins just south of Surfside at 87th Terrace. It continues south to 23rd Street where it becomes a paved surface. The paved portion of the boardwalk continues through the Ocean Drive Promenade to 5th Street. South of 5th street there is also South Pointe Park which provides nice views of the port of Miami.
Each block in Miami Beach is approximately 1/10th of a mile. So, the distance between 46th street and 5th street is approximately 4 miles... the perfect distance for a nice jog or stroll!"
The bandshell is within walking distance of our apartment!
"The Bandshell was designed in 1961 by architect Norman Giller. A leading figure in the MiMo style, his work is now featured on the National Register of Historic Places (an honor also bestowed on the Bandshell in 2022!). Historians Randall Robinson and Eric Nash described the Bandshell as 'a futurist take on a Roman Amphitheater.'
The Miami Beach Bandshell is an iconic example of MiMo (mid-century Miami Modern) architecture, in the heart of the MiMo Historic District in the city’s North Beach neighborhood. Managed by the RHYTHM FOUNDATION for the City of Miami Beach since 2015, the open-air venue now hosts 120+ events each season. The cultures of Miami converge at the Bandshell, and audiences can enjoy music, arts and culture year-round, by world class artists in an intimate setting. Miami New Times’ Best of Miami named us ‘BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE‘ 2023!"
"We bring the best cigar selections to the table, coupled with the finest wine, beer, coffee, accessories, and more. All the while enjoying the classic and modern backdrop that transports guests to a place and time where they feel relaxed. Our cigar lounge in Miami Beach, Florida greets guests, both cigar connoisseurs and those looking to indulge themselves, with an environment that has been a staple for glamor in every detail."

"Bayfront Park, originally called Royal Palm Park, is the oldest public gathering space in the Greater Miami community. Established in 1896, it started with a pavilion and green space used for sports activities. Over the years, it expanded to include a bandshell and became a venue for various events. Today, Bayfront Park spans 32 acres in Downtown Miami, offering stunning views of Biscayne Bay and the city skyline. It features open lawn spaces, a seaside path, sandy beach area, performance venues, VIP seating, tropical rock garden, and a historic waterfall from 1926."
[Bayfront Park is the home of Ultra Music Festival, which will celebrate it's 25th year in March 2025!]
Located in the Brickell area of downtown Miami, what makes this coffee shop unique is that it’s housed in the front of the fuselage of a retired McDonnell Douglas MD-88 (It’s a jet that flew for Delta from 1990 all the way up until 2019)
"Known for its many colorful murals, Wynwood is one of Miami's most happening districts. Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum showcasing large-scale works by some of the world’s best-known street artists. The surrounding streets have converted warehouses housing craft breweries and funky art galleries. A hip young crowd frequents the neighborhood’s chic clothing boutiques, stylish bistros and late-night bars."
"Little Havana is a neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Home to many Cuban exiles, as well as many immigrants from Central and South America, Little Havana is named after Havana, the capital and largest city in Cuba."
We took a walking tour of Little Havana back in March, and highly recommend a visit. You can watch authentic cigar rolling, see mad domino playing skills, get a cuban sandwich, empanada, churros, Cuban coffee (cafecito), mojitos. There's so much to see/do/learn!
"For over 20 years Miami's Club Space has been a mecca for electronic music lovers craving marathon raves curated by acclaimed DJs and selectors from across the globe. Even in a city known for its after-hours parties, Pace has garnered widespread praise among audiences by regularly extending night time parties into mornings, afternoons, and subsequent evenings. The club's famous terrace features a clear ceiling allowing dancers the rare opportunity to watch starlight turn to sunrise as they get lost and fall in love with the music on the dance floor."
If you want the Miami club experience, Space is famous for it's open air late-night-through-sunrise music scene.
We saw Sofi Tukker here in March -their set started at 5am! - and music acts continue through sunrise until 11am
