When should I RSVP by? What if my plans change?

We kindly ask that everyone RSVP by March 2, 2026, earlier if possible (this helps us plan!). If your plans change after that—whether a conflict comes up, you’re able to join us last-minute, or your guest count shifts—please just let us know!

Will beverages be provided?

Yes - some wine, beer, near beer and mocktails will be provided! There will be a bar to purchase additional drinks (beers, highballs, canned cocktails, etc.)

Is the building accessible?

Yes, the building is fully accessible, for those with diverse needs. The event will be held on the main floor (no stairs required).

Is there parking?

Yes, and parking is free, at the lot beside the curling club. Please read signs as there is a portion of the lot dedicated for guests of the Thompson Hotel.

What if I'm not staying nearby, but I also don't want to drive?

Kamloops has two ride share options: Uride, and Uber, accessible by app. There's also a cab company: Kami cabs, accessible by app and by phone. As well, there is also public transit; the bus loop is located a half block away (Downtown Kamloops bus loop).

What hotel do you recommend? Where are the bride and groom staying?

We plan on staying at the Delta, one block away. We like the proximity, balance of quality and cost, service consistency, and Bonvoy points.

What should I wear?

Check out the "Theme" tab for more information...Garden Party theme! All celebrations are inside.

What's the weather like in Kamloops in May?

In early May, Kamloops brings mild, lovely days and cool evenings. We expect daytime temperatures around 18-19 °C, dipping to about 4-6 °C at night. The skies are often partly cloudy with occasional light showers, but plenty of sunlight too. It’s the perfect time—fresh, crisp and green.
