Here's some of our favourite local places in downtown Kamloops!
Underbelly: Craft cocktails, elevated food, and a great happy hour. A more upscale concept to it's sister to Noble Pig Brewery (see Breweries).
Jacob's Noodle & Cutlet: Casual, delicious Korean and Japanese eats - with consistently amazing food and service. Try the Bibimbap!
Hello Toast: What may be Kamloops' best brunch. There is nearly always a line, but it moves quick!
The Art We Are Cafe: A vibrant café with with extensive comfort food, catering to a variety of food preferences. Plus they have local art and wears on display for purchase!
Kekuli Cafe: Indigenous-owned café known for its famous bannock. Try the breakfast sandwich on bannock!
Tongdak Korean Fried Chicken (Downtown): not to be confused with any restaurant of a similar name. This is a family owned business focusing on crispy, flavour-packed Korean fried chicken. You can order it to your table while enjoying drinks at Red Collar Brewery and Gin Lane Distilling.
Kamloops is home to five standout breweries. Downtown holds Red Collar Brewing & Gin Lane Distilling, The Noble Pig and Embers Brewhouse. There is also Iron Road Brewing (Sahali) and Bright Eye Brewing (North Shore). As well, there's also Red Beard Cafe (North Shore) - with great cocktails and coffee, and a solid tap list representing BC. PS: The don't have a website, but they do have FB & Instagram.
The city is home to three charming wineries — Monte Creek Ranch Winery, Sagewood Winery, and Privato Vineyard & Winery — each offering a unique selection of locally crafted wines.
Kenna Cartwright offers an extensive network of gentle nature trails for hiking or cycling with panoramic views of the city, the Thompson Valley, Kamloops Lake, and the convergence of the North and South Thompson Rivers.
